Twitching his eyelids, Max woke up. Every muscle ached of agony. He pulled his body weight up to a sitting position.
Is this a hospital?
His mom sat on the opposite side of the room, sleeping in a chair. Drool hanged from the corner of her lips, her hair tangled up in the back, and bags lined under her eyes.
He went to shift his body,
"Agh!"
There was a tube connected in his left hand, and it was hooked to some kind of machine.
So much for moving.
He rested his head back against the wall and hummed a melody his mom always did before she put him to sleep when he was younger.
Dr.Rainard strode down the hall way reading over some medical notes on his clipboard."Hmmm.."
Turning around a corner he collided with a woman. His head jerked back.
"I'm so sorry lemme help you!"
The lady bent down and snatched up some of the doctors notes and papers.
"No no it's fine, I wasn't paying attention."
He smiled brightly at her and took the notes up.
She looked up and pulled her brunette hair out of her face. She had big brown eyes, that seemed to reflect upon the doctor.
"I'm sorry, I feel like I haven't seen you here before? What your name?"
Her cheeks flooded with embarrassment, and she became rosy red.
"I got transferred here about two days ago, and Marisa."
They looked into each others eyes not saying a word, but every word seemed to speak by just...looking
The doctor decided to break the silence.
"Well miss Marisa, I'll look forward to working with you!"
He stuck out his hand, emphasizing a hand shake, and she grabbed his hand.
"Same with you doctor!"
They shook hands and went on their way.
Reading over his notes again the doctor seemed to notice it was time to check up on Max to see if everything is in check and order.
"Room B320....B320....aha"
A knock on the door brought Max's mother out of her sleep.
She wiped the drool hanging off her lip.Rubbing her eyes and taking a deep yawn she spoke,
"Doctor! Any news?"
As that question was asked, they both noticed Max sitting in the upright position staring at both of them.
Both the adults stared at Max, and he shifted his weight back and forth uncomfortable.
The doctors eyes were bulging from his sockets, due to the fact that Max was supposed to not wake up until a few more weeks.
"How do you feel youngin?"
The doctors question made Max uncertain, due to the fact that he didn't know what to feel.
All that has been happening to him...what are you supposed to feel at this point.
"Better, my head aches though!"
He lied, things seemed just as bad as they are back at his house. His head did pound though.
His mother ran up to his bed side and pushed her lips against his forehead.
