Pete impatiently tapped his foot on the ground, staring down at Ae who was dressed in a black suit with a velvet tie. His figure showing off muscles and thickness. Getting distracted, Pete shook his head to snap out of it and quirked his eyebrows up as if asking what was taking Ae so long to explain.
Ae cleared his throat in nervousness. He could sense that if he said one thing wrong, he would anger Pete. He heard many stories about the crown prince of Thailand and how he was spoiled by his parents, who were very scary and protective over Pete.
" So uhm, I'm a prince."
Pete rolled his eyes," You told me that last chapter."
Laughing in nervousness, Ae stuttered on his words," Well then, I'm the second son of Lady Myera and Lord Hitam. My father and Chaaim's mom are siblings making us cousins."
Pete nodded his head in understanding, before glancing at Ae and giving a creepy smile," And the story about how you became the royal servant?"
Ae grinned uncertainly, " It was made up on the spot."
Pete touched his forehead in frustration, rubbing it harshly," What I don't understand is why you would lie. How did you even get away with it? I heard princes south of Thailand are very handsome, not that you are, so how come no one recognized you?"
" Because they did recognize me. But I asked your staff to play along and pretend as though I was just a mere servant."
" But why?" Pete asked, astonished and confused as to why the hell he would pretend.
" To get close to you," Ae answered with a serious face.
" Bullshit."
Ae stared at Pete in shock. Pete just stared back with disappointment written on his face," What I mean by bullshit is I don't understand why you would pretend. I would've been eager to be your friend either way."
Ae sighed," I know. But you were so naive and I was just tempted. I was going to tell you the truth when we were going for a stroll, but Chaaim was telling me about how you hated lying when we were going to meet your parents."
Pete snapped his fingers," My parents. How did my parents not know? Don't tell me they played along with you."
Ae coughed and shrugged, making Pete groan," How and when?"
" You know how the royal servant went to whisper something in your mother's ear?"
" How did you even know? You weren't in the room."
" These are simple inferences you can make."
Rolling his eyes, Pete mimicked Ae," Simple references blah blah. So the servant told Mother and that's how I got tricked."
Ae hung his head and mustered up his courage and said," Look I know what I did was horrible, bringing your mom and the royal staff into this. I was planning on telling you but you were always full of surprises especially whenever I complained about being a servant, which wasn't true, and you would always say so what and all that stuff, making me feel like even if I was a homeless bigger you would still be my friend."
