Cerise was pulling on Daring's arm as she stomped through the snow. She looked around at the beautiful garden, it looked like a winter wonderland. Cerise thought back to the epic winter they once faced in high school. Back to when Daring was first turned into a beast. Cerise smiled at the memory.

"The snow is so pretty." Cerise admired.

"Yeah. The weather here Is usually really amazing. It is enchanted after all." Daring replied.

Cerise wondered if it was snowing back home. Maybe it was just here; a special treat made just for Daring and herself.

"I forgot how far the stables were." Daring groaned.

Cerise chuckled. "Oh, come on you big baby. We're almost there." Cerise could see the stables from where they were; the walk was just taking longer then usual due to the weather.

"This is technically your fault Daring." Cerise smirked.

Daring rolled his eyes. "How so?"

"Well you did recommend seeing the stables when I arrived."

Daring playfully sighed, "I suppose I did."

The pair finally reached the stables and Cerise was the first to walk in. It was a very fancy stable, it was fit for a king. She glanced at Daring, Well he'll be king one day. She thought to herself.

"Where are all the horses?" Cerise asked, when she realized that the stables were vacant.

"I can't stand animals being all cooped up. I let them go." He stared at the ground.

Cerise smiled kindly at him as she put a hand on his cheek. "That's really amazing. I didn't know that's how you felt."

Daring smiled kindly, "You of all people know that animals should be free."

Cerise smiled at him as she felt a small blush creep up.

"I really loved taking care of them, I hated to see them go. But, it was the right thing to do. Just because I'm trapped here doesn't mean they should've been too."

Daring caressed Cerise's hair. "And besides, I have you now." He smiled lovingly at her.

Cerise felt like her head was going to explode. She had liked Daring for a long time, but she never thought he felt the same way. Darling used to say that she was sure that her brother had a crush on Cerise, but Cerise always denied it. But now, in the cold stables Daring was looking at her in a way Cerise had never seen before.

She could've sworn that she saw something there, something that wasn't there before. Almost as if he had feelings for her.

As his stare got more intense, Cerise felt panic. While she wanted nothing more than for Daring to return her feelings, this had never happened before. She didn't know what to do, so she did what she knew how to do; she ran away.

She darted out of the stables leaving Daring shocked and confused. "Cerise!" He yelled after her, but she was already gone.

She didn't go far, she just rounded the corner. She panted from the sudden run as she played the scene in her head again. The bright red blush made its way onto Cerise's cheeks again. New, and a bit alarming. Who'd have ever thought that this could be? She thought to herself.

She bent down and quickly made a snowball. When Daring rounded the corner, she threw the snowball at him. He just stood there as the snow hit him and crumbled up. "What was that for?" He asked very unimpressed.

She just shrugged. "Snowball fight?" She asked.

He put on a game face and nodded. She braced herself as she started making snowballs. It was on.

Cerise was hiding behind a tree, panting softly. Cerise and Daring were just as competitive as they were back in high school. Their snowball fight had lasted much longer than it should have; but neither one wanted to forfeit.

Cerise picked up a few more snowballs, preparing herself to pelt Daring with snowballs. Cerise peeked around the tree, she spotted Daring and smirked at him. She started throwing the snowballs at him. He tried to fight back but it was no use, Cerise was relentless.

By the time Cerise used all her snowballs, Daring was lying on his back laughing. Cerise flopped down next to him and joined in.

The two lazily walked around in the snow

The two lazily walked around in the snow. They were tired after their battle in the snow, but they didn't want to be cooped up in the castle. Cerise preferred to be outdoors, she felt more comfortable surrounded by nature.

Cerise looked over at Daring who was chatting about the landscaping. She could see his mouth moving, but his words never reached her. She found herself mirroring the same loving look he had given her.

She wondered if they would ever figure out their destiny, or if they would just stay here together forever. Cerise honestly didn't mind the latter. She thought that she buried her feelings for Daring long ago; but she was so wrong. If anything her feelings were stronger.

She wouldn't admit that she was in love. But she was starting to feel that way.

Daring looked back at Cerise and caught her staring at him. He saw the sweet and loving look on her face. He smiled back at her, he saw her blush as she quickly looked away.

Daring smiled to himself, She glanced this way, I thought I saw. Daring reached down and gently held her hand. He wasn't sure what came over him, he just felt the need to be closer to her. And to his surprise, she held his hand in return.

Daring looked down at their intertwined hands. When we touched she didn't stutter at my paw. Daring thought of the possibility of Cerise having feelings for him, No it can't be. I'll just ignore. Cerise looked up at him with her sweet little smile. Daring felt his heart start to flutter. But then, she's never looked at me that way before.

Daring internally sighed. He was starting to fall for her.

Sarah looked out of the windows that faced the gardens

Sarah looked out of the windows that faced the gardens. She smiled as she watched Daring and Cerise stroll down the path, hand in hand. "I'll wait and see, a few days more there may be something there that wasn't there before."
