Ouma woke up to the sound of glass breaking. He shot out of bed, almost falling onto the cold wooden floor.

"Kyana-chan?" He called out. It was unlikely that his sister would be awake at this time, but he'd prefer if it were her that broke something, and not a robber or kidnapper.

No response came from the darkness. Ouma started to feel uneasy and frightened. "Hey, Kyana-chan, I know it's you...is this payback for putting salt in your cereal? If so, I already said sorry..!"

No response again. Ouma stood there silently, too scared to move or say a word.

Suddenly, someone emerged from the darkness. Ouma was panicked at first, then realised it was only his sister. "Oh thank god, I thought someone had broke-"

She lunged at him. He quickly moved to the side, watching with wide eyes as she smashed right into the wall.

"Kyana, what-" He froze when she got back up, not looking injured at all. But what really freaked him out were her eyes.

They looked empty and hollow, their usual purple shine gone. That shine was replaced with a horrible grey.

"Did you get contacts or something..?" He asked, still staring at her eyes.

She lunged again. He dodged and began to run.

He could hear her loud footsteps behind him, getting closer every second.

Ouma was terrified out of his mind. He didn't even know what was wrong with her.

She dropped to the floor. Ouma seemed relieved.

Then she grabbed his leg and pulled him down.

He let out a cry of pain as his head landed hard on the floor. "Ow, fuck.."

His sister got up and began to drag him with her. He kicked and struggled.

Eventually, he ended up kicking her in thr stomach. She groaned and let go of him, dropping to the floor.

Ouma immediately ran. He went straight for the front door and opened it.

What he saw made him stop in his tracks.

Thousands of people were outside, but they didn't look human....

Their eyes were the same as Kyana's, grey and had no shine to them.

Then he spotted something out of the corner of his eye.

One of the 'people' were eating a dead woman's body.

Ouma stared in horror. "W...What the fuck?!"

They all turned their heads to look at him.

There was a deadly silence for a moment. Then they all ran at him.

Ouma ran as fast as he could, those things not being far behind.

He managed to lose them when he ran into a tunnel and crouched down.

As soon as they ran past, Ouma calmed down.

"Okay, there has to be a reason all this is happening..." He said to himself. "Maybe....a nuclear explosion? ...No, that would make them mutants, not cannibals...God, think Ouma, thi-"

He stopped when he heard something. It sounded like the snap of a twig beneath a foot...

Ouma knew he only had seconds to hide. He spotted a trash can and ran over to it, not caring if he got dirty.

Ouma opened the lid and quickly got in, closing the lid and holding his breath.

Thankfully for him, it was an empty trash can.

He waited for the person, whoever it was, to leave. But they didn't...

Instead, they came closer to him.

Ouma cowered inside the trash can, his breathing getting faster, more erratic, and knew he was seconds from his death.

The person opened the lid of the trash can. Ouma didn't look up. Until...

"Ouma-kun?" A familiar voice said.

Ouma lifted his head up to see who it was.

Shuichi stood there, covered in blood, lots of it. But Ouma calmed down when he saw Shuichi's normal, not blank, yellow eyes.

Ouma let out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank fuck..."
