I whipped the horse more as more mens were coming after me and Kieran. We were running away from O'driscolls gang. We couldn't take it any longer, they really treated us not humanely. We were just a cattle who just keep doing what the owner says and waiting to be killed. But even we're running away like this, what're we going to do next? I'm not even sure if I do the right thing.

" Y/N !! Look out! There's more of them! Turn right to the forest! " I snapped back to the reality from my little thought when he called on me. We both turned right just like what he said.

"Left the horses here! Let's hide on these bushes!" He got off from his horse and giving a little help when I got off from mine.

"A-Are we gonna die like this Kieran? There's so many of them, how can we escape them?!" I whispered slowly but loud enough for him to hear me. As I peeped a little between the leaves through the bushes, I saw them getting closer to us so I quickly turned back to hide again. I could feel that my body trembling as the sounds of their footsteps get closer and closer.

" O-of course no Y/N , I'll get sure we'll both make this thing out " said Kieran tried to reassure you. He held my hand tightly, while giving me the stares that he will protect you no matter what. It's not about me that I don't believe him but how the hell 2 people can defeat so many bunch of O'driscolls there?!

"Get out both of you, little bastards! Don't ever think about running from us!" The sudden voices made me little jump and it made the bushes moved a little. As I heard their footsteps coming toward our hiding place, we slowly walked to the trees behind us while crouching. I tried to walk as slow as I could so it wouldn't make any noises.

" We know you're there! Just surrender to us !" They once again shouted. My heart kept beating faster and faster. I was too concerned to keep remain calm to realize someone behind me.
"Got you! You little bitch!" Before even I could turn to see right behind me, his hand shut my mouth and the other hand pulling my hair backward. I whimpered in pain as he kept pulling my hairs. It was useless even I tried to break free from this guy.

"Y/N !! Please you guys, just let her go, don't hurt her! I-if you want to catch her.. just catch me instead " His eyes widened as he saw me got caught by one of the O'driscolls. He seemed pretty scared that they kept hurting me by pulling my hair and taking me as a hostage. Kieran took out his gun and pointed it out to the man that holding me. Of course he knew that the others O'driscolls already surrounded us with their guns pointing at him since I got caught just minutes ago and yet you could tell that he also feel scared but it doesn't make him stop protecting you. He's more afraid of losing you, as a friend.

"C'mon Kieran, you always wanted to protect this lil bitch right? C'mon, get her!" They mocked him as he kept pointing their gun at them unfazed."I said let her go or I'll shoot you all!" He slowly pulled the trigger while I kept getting my body weaker and weaker, even my vision was blurry but you could tell that the other O'driscolls were about to shoot at him and if they really shoot him, Kieran would be dead for sure.
Before the O'driscolls could even pull the triggers, a bunch of gunshots heard from the back of us, the bullet first hit the head of the man that was holding me the entire time and my body fell to the ground. I still heard some gunshots and saw Kieran shooting the O'driscolls with a bunch of unknown gang before completely lost my conciousness.

I thought that maybe I was dead, but at least Kieran could live. Deep inside, you had a crush on him since the first time you were in O'driscoll. He was always there to protect you whenever you needed him. He's the only person that was kind to you in O'driscolls while the other one kept treating both of us not humanely.

" Ms. L/N? You okay there girl? " the woman voices could be heard as you started to open your eyes slowly. At first, your vision was still blurry that you could barely see but finally you could see the woman with red buttoned shirt.

" ughh... w-where am I?" As I tried to sit up, I still felt my head feeling kinda dizzy. But the woman helped me to sit up on the edge of the bed.

" You're in our camp, ms. L/N " she said calmly. I wasn't focus enough to hear her answer because I was too busy looking around me. Of course I'm inside a tent but you still try to guess what happen. All you remembered is just that you heard gunshots and saw Kieran shooting the O'driscolls with a bunch of gang.A sudden light that came from the lifted entrance of the tent made me dazzled. There was someone that got inside the tent, it was an unknown man and Kieran.

" Y/N ! You're awake, I-I was worried about you... You suddenly lost your consciousness.. " he said while giving you a relieved smile and he quickly held your hand.

"Kieran, I'm okay.. don't be like that... and who is he?" I said pointing out my fingers to the direction of the man in front of me.

" He's the one that helped us last night, you know Van Der Linde's gang? It's them".

"Hey there lady, this O'driscoll boy just got worried the entire time for you" said the man, I sure he's gonna be kind. He may do bad things but he's not bad man.

"I ain't O'driscolls now , sir... you need to believe me" Kieran said to the man.

"Yeah yeah whatever you say boy, but if you do anything dangerous, I'll sure to make you feel like you're being caught by O'driscolls again" said the man and then he left along with the woman that helped me before.

Somehow, I felt kinda scared at them because this Van Der Linde's gang isn't too much different from the O'driscolls but also part of you felt relieved that you were alive. You still wanted to enjoy free life and especially you haven't even confessed about your crush on him, you always tried to find the right moment.

"Hey Kieran, thanks for protecting me" I said while giving him a gentle smile and I just noticed that his hand was bandaged."Are you okay? Your hand.. it looks hurt" giving him a worried look but he reassure you that he's okay.

"Don't worry about me and stop worrying me, you're the one who need to take care of" Kieran just said that I need to stop worrying about him? How can he said that, I punched him a little on his shoulder.

"How can you said that?! I like you, dumbass" I blurted out and suddenly my cheeks turned red as I realized what I just said. But he still remain unfazed and smiled.

" Yeah me too , of course as a friend, you're always the best friend"

"That's not it you silly! I love you as a man!" I said loudly , maybe everyone outside the tent could hear it too but I don't care. His eyes widened and his cheeks turned light rose as he blushes.

"I- I don't know someone can love me as a man, but , Y/N , I love you too" he said , this time he put his hand on my shoulder as he leaned down to put a gentle kiss on my lips. I blushed like hell but I felt happy that actually he really accepted me. I thought that we both will be in peace in this gang. They treated us rightly.
