Friday

-Are you even listening to me? Stop texting!- I heard my friend David yell in my direction.

-Hmm?- I looked up at him, I was totally out of it. I had no idea what we were talking about.

-Oh my God! She has no idea what we've been talking about for the past 15 minutes.- He said to Sarah.

Now, she was looking at me too.

-Who have you been texting like possessed this whole week?- David asked.

-I uh, nobody...- Another text just arrived.

"Hahahahah omg, he is actually a child" I thought, reading the message.

-Look at her, there she goes again. She has no clue what's going on around her. There could be bombs falling from the sky, she wouldn't know.- I faintly heard a male voice say.

-Let her be. She obviously found someone.- Sarah scolded David.

-I don't care, he could be the prince of Dubai, when I'm talking she has to listen.-

-Kin!!!-

-Huh?- I looked up from my phone. -Did somebody call me?-

-Are you mental?- Said David, with a look of disbelief on his face.

-What did I do?- I looked at Sarah, searching for answers, but she was just laughing, with understanding in her eyes.

-She's lost it Sarah, call Mila and tell her to tie Kin up in her room. And call her mother as well.-

-You're being so extra David, go fuck yourself.- I snapped jokingly, humored by the whole conversation.

Sarah was now laughing hysterically.

-Now you've got a cheek to talk to me like that.- He sternly said, but I could sense the humor in his voice. -We are discussing serious matters up here. What are we getting Mila for her birthday?-

-I told you, a mug set.- I said, finally taking my eyes off of the screen.-We should get the mister and misses mugs and engrave hers and Stefan's names.-

-When is he coming anyways?- asked Sarah.- Have you spoken to him?-

-I can't speak to him, guy knows barely any English. But Mila told me he's coming next Friday.-

-I like the mug idea- agreed Sarah- It will be a birthday present for Mila, and a welcome present for Stefan.-

-Fine.- nodded David.- Now tell us who are you texting!- He demanded.

-A friend.- I simply responded, getting my attention back to the phone.

-A friend, my ass. There are two friends right in front of you.-

-Stop it Dave! Now let's go! We're going to be late for class.- Said Sarah.

She stood up first, David and I followed. We walked from the park, where we were drinking coffee and waiting for the next lecture, to the building where our next lecture was taking place.

All the way there David was trying to catch a glimpse of my screen.

-Just tell me if you have a boyfriend.- He said.-I won't be mad, just tell me.-

-I don't have a boyfriend David, leave me alone.-

-Good to know, now I can tell Simon you're available. I wasn't sure until now.-
