The car ride on the way to Rick’s aunt was boring, he sighed as he watched the raindrops dribble down the window, and the weather was gloomy and morose. Rick was hoping for a place with sunshine and fun. However, he was wrong… the sunny and exhilarating place that his Aunt described was far away from what he was seeing now. They have been travelling for quite some time, his legs are numb, his eyes were watery from being tired the whole trip. Rick’s parents thought that he does not know the reason why they sent him out here. Well, the main reason is his “Best friend” Shane. Shane Walsh has been a bad influence to Rick in the past few weeks. Skipping school to play arcade games at their town mall, Getting Rick to tease and bully kids just for the sake of Shane’s entertainment.

They did not tell Rick that. They do not want to, because it is theirs to keep. the weather is still erratic and Rick can see that the trees and plants blow harshly to the side. “Don’t fret, Ricky…We are going to be there soon enough.” His mom clasped his shoulder as a sign of reassurance. Rick nodded slowly and turned his attention again to the window beside him.

As the car slowed down, he looked at the neighborhood he is going to stay at for the next two months. It seemed disastrous for him; all hope for a sunny and decent neighborhood, replaced with dread and homesick.

Rick got off the car and he is headed toward the door where his aunt is waiting for him inside. He opened the door and the warm and homely greeting of his aunt welcomed him. “Hey, kid!”  His aunt said as she ruffled his curly hair.

“Hiya, auntie Chelsea” Rick sat on the couch.

"Give Rick a tour around the town, will ya?" Rick's mom asks.

"No problem." Chelsea replied.

Rick's dad placed Rick's bags on the floor.

“Everything seems to be alright here, we should be going now..Rick?”  His mom asked

“Yes mom?” Rick answered

“Behave now, don’t give your aunt of them famous headaches she always seem to get.” His mom joked.

“Okay, okay…bye now, Ricky” Rick’s mom said.  With that, his parents waved goodbye and got in the car.

“Want something to eat?”  Chelsea asked.

“Yes, please! Do you have cookies?” Rick asked excitedly

“Of course I do, squirt”

She reached on to her cupboards; she pulled out a Tupperware full of cookies and handed it to Rick.

Rick opened the container, took out the chocolate cookies and ate it.

The rain is still pouring outside, his aunt had a plan to go outside but with this weather, they are forced to stay in. Chelsea sighed loudly, “Looks like we are going to have to stay in, kid”

Rick looked up at her “its okay auntie, I’m pretty tired anyway.”

“Well, if you say so…” Chelsea trailed off.

Rick was about to run up the stairs when his aunt stopped him,

“Look, tomorrow I will show you around the town..Okay?” Chelsea reassured.

“Okay, auntie.” Rick replied

“Goodnight, Rick” His aunt smiled

“Goodnight, auntie” Rick replied
