Luke

"Hurry up!" I groaned from down stairs in Jayda' s house. She was up there with Naomi doing God knows what and  taking for ever with it.

"She coming! Hold on!"

I sighed and sat back on the couch. 

I heard them giggling and whispered and I finally saw her coming down stairs casually dressed and looking beautiful as always.

"Ready." She smiled.

"Good. Come on." I smiled and grabbed her hand.

"Have fun you two." Naomi said as she shooed us out the door.

I opened the door for her and closed it once she got in.

Sitting in Mary's Diner I looked at her sitting across from me ass she looked at her menu. She was so beautiful. She was the girl that I've had a crush on since we were little.

"What?" She blushed looking away.

"Your so beautiful man." I chuckled as the waiter came over.

"Hi I'm Laury and I'll be serving you today. May I start you off with something to drink." The girl smiled brightly.

"Just some apple juice." Jayda said.

"Uh.." I thought as I looked at the drink choices. "Let me get a strawberry lemonade."

"Okay coming right up." She said after writing it down. "Would you like to order now or are your still looking?"

I looked at Jayda and she shook her head no. "Give us just a few more minutes." I told her.

"No problem." She smiled and walked away to get our drinks.

"How school going?" I asked her.

"Its good. The semester is almost over. Finally." She sighed dramatically.

"How your grades?"

"They are great honestly. Although going to school to be a registured nurse isn't as easy as you think it would be."

"I know but you gotta keep pushing to do better baby girl. You wanna be something in life then you gotta work for it." I shrugged.

"Your right that's why I'm not complaining."

"Good. I'll support you all the way."

"Thank you Luke." She blushed. "So how are you doing in life? What happened to your job at Dunkin' Doughnuts."

"I quit." I said looking away.

"Why?"

"They kept docking my pay. Saying I wasn't working to my full potential. I honestly just didn't like the job."

"Well if you don't like something try something else." She laughed.

"You right."

"I don't know if I want the hash brown breakfast or that pancake breakfast." She sighed looking at the menu again.

"Why don't you get both." I joked.

"I'm not that fat Luke." She said balling up a napkin and throwing it at me.

"I know babygirl. You not fat at all." I said biting my lip and grabbing her hand.

"Stop it Luke. We didn't come here for this."

"I know but you just so-" I cut my self off trying not to rush things and sat back in my seat.

"Here you are sorry that took a while. Are you ready to order." Laury said sitting our drinks down and took out her notebook and pen as Jayda nodded.
