Clove POV

As I say goodbye to my parents my eyes are dry. As I say goodbye to Marie my eyes are dry. As I hear Cato say goodbye to his friends and I hear Marie say he will not live my eyes are dry. As we walk to the train my eyes are dry. As we meet our mentors my eyes are dry. As I walk to my room in the train my eyes are dry. As I sit on my bed my eyes are dry.

When Cato comes in and sits on my bed and says "I love you Clover" and kisses me gently I lose it.

I cry in his arms for what seems like years. He just sits there stroking my hair and saying "I know."  And "I love you." Over and over again. Cato has never seen me cry. I finally stoped crying so we just lay down, my head on is chest. "I hate the damn Capitol." I say. "Me too Clover." He says "Me too." We stay like that until dinner.
