Aphrodite would never ever admit this out but she loved her husband very dearly. The only reason she kept cheating on him because after the first and ONLY time, people seemed to expect that of her especially since she was the goddess of love,beauty and lust. Yet it wasn't like Hephaestus was totally innocent either. He had many demigod children and still loved that mortal Esperanza Valdez (Leo anyone ;P)and so yes Aphrodite was jealous of the mortals but who she was most jealous of was actually that Goddess of Wisdom...Athena. It wasn't because Athena was the goddess of wisdom because Aphrodite was wise in her own way. No sirree it was because Hephaestus loved Athena first and that was what ticked Aphrodite off. Because although she would never admit it Aphrodite loved her husband. (Sorry the story sucks haha)
