"KYLEE!" Brittany whisper-yelled knowing she couldnt hear her.

"KYLEE!"

Brittany was on the bus watching the scene unfold in front of her.

Kylee was on the sidewalk walking to her grandmas house with a friend to her right. She hadnt noticed yet, but Henry had just turned onto the sidewalk side by side with his friend. He was only maybe twenty feet from her but she was too caught up in what she was talking about to notice.

Her attention finally broke when a light, raspy voice called out her name.

She turned towards where the sound came from and let a small smile form on her face.

As she slowed her pace she called back, "Yeah what's up, Henry?"

"Are you busy tonight?" He questioned.

Butterflies filled Kylees' stomach and she gave a lighthearted laugh due to nervousness.

"Um, no, not really. Why?"

"You don't have an IPhone, do you?"

"No, I have a Samsung, how come?"

"Ah shoot. OK, I was just wondering if we'd be able to facetime tonight because I wanted to ask you about some geometry problems."

Kylee began to reply, "Oh thats-"

"Oh! Never mind!" Henry exclaimed. "We can video chat over Instagram, I forgot about that. I mean if you're like cool with it."

"Um yeah, thats fine. Around what time were you thinking?"

"Does around 2:00 work for you?"

"Yeah," Kylee responded with a smile. It was like whenever Henry was around, she couldn't help it. It was like his presence alone made her happy.

"Great, thanks," he replied as he continued walking with his friend in the opposite direction of Kylee.

"You're welcome," Kylee whispered as she turned the corner anticipating the afternoon to come.

1:57pm the clock on Kylees desk read.

Feeling uneasy about what was to come, she ran a brush through her hair, got out some paper, a calculator and a pencil and laid it all out on her desk in front of her phone that was propped up against the wall.

She sat down in her chair and watched the clock.

1:58pm

1:59pm

That was when her phone had begun to vibrate, altering her that Henry was calling her on Instagram.

Here we go

"Hey," she answered.

"Hey," Henry replied. "Thanks for doing this by the way."

"No problem, what are friends for?"
