It had been a short two hours since Kylee and Henry had begun to video chat. Kylees love for geometry mixed with Henrys enthusiasm for learning made the perfect combination.
Throughout the whole time they had been talking, Kylee made a few documents in which were variations of previous problems done in class.
After sharing the documents with the guy on the other side of the camera, he was able to print them off and so together they worked through every single problem til the time read 4:07 p.m..
"Woah dude," Kylee remarked.
"What?" Henry replied.
"You know that its four now, right?"
After glancing at his own clock, he had realized she was telling the truth.
"Nice dude. Well, at least I'm not as confused as I was when we started," he confessed as he leaned back in his chair; his arms coming up to rest behind his head.
Oh my goodness
She really couldn't help but notice that he had a decent size of muscle on his arms.
She smiled at the thought and Henry took this as a response to his previous statement.
"I mean it Kylee. You're a pretty good teacher."
Blushing and smiling from the compliment just paid to her she replied with a quiet, "Thanks Henry."
They kind of just sat there staring at each other until Kylee broke the silence.
"So what are your plans for Thanksgiving?"
"Well, I have family coming over from Ohio which is nice. Just my aunt, uncle and a few cousins. Other than them, I'm just having dinner with my parents and my sister."
"Nice. Its just my parents, grandparents, my brother and I so yeah."
"Cool."
"Yeah."
"Ok," Kylee began. "so tomorrow is Thanksgiving so you wanna do this again on Friday or Saturday?"
"Yeah sure, no problem, Saturday works for me," Henry said.
He and Kylee began to put their materials away and exchanged sweet little nothings to pass the time.
Henry looked up at her (more like his phone screen) and a smile completely engulfed his face.
"I just noticed you're wearing glasses."
"Oh yeah," Kylee replied, reflexively touching her frames. "I don't really wear them that often, I usually wear contacts."
"You look good in glasses."
Kylee silently gasped as a shy smile smile appeared. A breathy, "Thanks," escaped her mouth.
"Anytime," he smirked.
They exchanged their goodbyes and hung up.
Kylee sat back in her chair and let out a little scream. After her little freak out, she went downstairs for some food. Little did she know, she was not the only one so affected by their phone call.
Just a few miles away Henry somewhat mirrored Kylees actions.
After he hung up, he too sat back in his chair and let a big puff of air escape. He ran his worked hands over his face to reveal a fully developed smile. He jumped up from his seat and plunged onto his bed with leftover adrenaline pumping through his veins.
"My goodness I love her smile," he whispered.
