It's been three years since Madara rescued Naruto from Konoha. Naruto was still a bit extroverted and boisterous, but he had a cunning side as well. He has become a fine shinobi; he learned two nature transformations; Fūton and Suiton. His taijutsu was around mid-jōnin level, and his ninjutsu was around high jōnin level. His genjutsu was nonexistent, however.
Despite all of those statistics, Naruto was severely lacking in experience. Madara was a very strict person; he never let Naruto out of the cave.
Naruto always thought about what Konoha was like since he was gone; did his family miss him? Were they happy? Sad? He doubted that Sora and Niko missed him; hell, they were probably crying tears of happiness when he was jailed. In his sleep, he always said the names of his brothers and friends, and the two Zetsu frequently made fun of him for that.
Sure Naruto got a whole lot stronger, but he felt like such a jerk for just abandoning the people he cared for. Madara was like a grandfather to Naruto, and the two Zetsu who watched over him were like brothers to him.
As much as Madara doesn't want to admit it, he thinks of Naruto as the grandson he's never had.
While Naruto was doing his taijutsu kata, a Zetsu popped out of the Gedo Mazō and informed the two that Konoha was under attack, and his family was in trouble.
"Old man, I have to go to Konoha! The people I care about are under attack!" Naruto said frantically.
"No, you can't go." Madara replied.
Naruto gave Madara a look and said, "I'm going there, whether you like it or not."
Madara just simply said, "You will come back eventually."
Naruto ran up towards the boulder blocking the exit and tried to break it, but it only left a dent. The swirly Zetsu, or Guruguru (named by Naruto) suggested that Naruto used his body as a sort of shell. Guruguru wrapped Naruto with himself and then broke the boulder using the power of the Gedo Mazō.
Naruto ran to Konoha. He saw that a massive purple barrier was erected on a building, and many shinobi were battling eachother; some having headbands with a musical note on them, some having an hourglass insignia, and, obviously, some having the Konoha insignia engraved in it. He went to find Itsuki and Touma, not caring for his adoptive parents.
Naruto found Itsuki. He was fighting a losing battle against a group of shinobi with musical note headbands. They eventually cornered Itsuki and were about to finish him off until Naruto did a Shunshin no Jutsu and did a split kick which knocked out two shinobi, including the one that was about to finish off Itsuki.
The rest of the shinobi backed off from Naruto, looking a bit surprised.
Naruto simply picked up Itsuki, body flickered away, and put him near a tree outside the village. He looked at Itsuki one more time and then went to observe the main fight between the Hokage and another weird man.
He had pale skin, serpentine eyes and pitch-black hair. The jutsu he was using were extremely reminiscent of a snake as well.
A snake sage maybe? Naruto pondered as he observed. Suddenly, three coffins began to come out of the roof of the building. Two of them actually came up successfully, while one seemed to stop midway and sink back into the ground.
The two coffins opened and revealed the Shodaime and Nanadaime Hokage. They looked anything but alive, however. They sported cracks all over their face and skin, and their complexions were darker.
Naruto's eyes widened as he went into a state of shock. The first and second Hokage! How?
The three Hokage had an exchange before the Shodaime and Nadadaime Hokage's faces changed to indifference.
As the three Hokage began to battle, Naruto went to find Touma.
Naruto, fortunately, found Touma hidden safely in a building. Touma's eyes lit up as he saw Naruto.
"Narut-" Naruto quickly put a hand over Touma's mouth.
"Touma, there is no time to explain what happened, but you have to leave." Naruto grabbed Touma by the shoulder and used Shunshin no Jutsu to put him where Itsuki was laying. He then used the same jutsu to go back to where the three Hokage were battling.
"Shiki Fūjin!" Hiruzen shouted before grabbing Orochimaru.
Naruto quickly went into a state of panic, as he already knew what this jutsu was. He tried to rush over to where the battle was, but there was a large purple barrier covering them and he was just simply too slow.
Hiruzen dropped dead while Orochimaru hunched over and told all of his goons to retreat back to his base.
Jiji, why? Naruto thought as tears began to fall from his eyes. They began to morph and change in color until they had red irises and 2 tomoe seemed to orbit his pupils.
Orochimaru seemed to notice Naruto and said, "Jirōbō, go and handle that child over there.". Orochimaru and the rest of his goons began to run away, thinking that Jirōbō would simply catch up. The biggest person in that group used Shunshin no Jutsu to appear in front of Naruto and brought up his fist to smash Naruto flat, but instead Naruto sidestepped, looked Jirōbō in the eye and caught him in a genjutsu. Jirōbō stood there, frozen, while Naruto slit his throat wide open.
As he realized what he did, a group of ANBU found him and knocked him out.
