Kay's Pov:
I woke up from a dreamless sleep and looked around semi lit room. I laid there for a long time before looking at the time on my phone...it was only six...damn....
I didn't wanna get up but I knew I had to...so I sat up slowly and went over to my bag deciding to unpack it since I had nothing else to do.I got what little closes I had into a dresser and laid out whatever femenim products I had on the dresser plus some extra stuff that I hid in a draw with my few pairs of underwear and socks. I then placed all of my writing stuff in one draw and drawing stuff in another below it in a large wooden desk. I put my laptop on the desk and took a seat opening it curious about what I could connect to...I turned it on and went to my desk top opening it but only to find that everything on the internet changed! Almost all of the internet was down and you could not access any sights except for the ones made in the underground with there server providers....fuck it...I shut the laptop out of frustration and decided to get up and go make some food...maybe I could cook for San's and Paps since they were letting me stay...
I got dressed into new clothes and brushed my hair then I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. After that I put my stuff back in my room and walked downstairs trying to be quiet...but you know what it's like being the only one awake and trying to be quiet EVERYTHING sounds like it's fucking being slammed or there is a damn train slamming into the house every time you take a step! But I mean I guess I was quiet enough because no one woke up..? I looked in the fridge and saw that there was only spaghetti...lots of horrible spaghetti left overs...it made me cringe at the thought of the tasteless food...the only other thing in the fridge was lots and lots of ketchup bottles...do these men never eat anything else...!
I continued to search around the kitchen till I got feed up and grabbed my wallet from my room and left the house....I went around Snowdin till I found a small grocery store. I entered and went up to the cashier instantly.
"I was curious since i'm new around here...do you accept this money?" I asked and the man looked at me and nodded...guess our money was pretty much the same here as in the surface. I decided to go around with a basket grabbing a few necessary things...eggs, milk, cheese, bread...cookies you know that basics. I looked around and found that they had bacon which made me smile then I grabbed other thing's like spices and some chop meat...after that I grabbed whatever else I thought we needed and went to the counter with my arm breaking.
"That's 39.69...would you like a bag..?" I handed him the money and shook my head 'yes'. He bagged my groceries and I smiled grabbing them
"Thank you, have a great day" I said walking out and heading home. I got home after a few minutes walking in the cold weather...I seriously need to get a jacket...I walked in the door and put the bags down unpacking them and then started cooking. I decided on scrambled eggs with bacon. I cooked for awhile and soon a heard rustling upstairs.
"What is that amazing smell!" I heard Paps say loudly behind me and I jumped turning to him
"Oh hey i'm sorry I hope this doesn't bother you but I thought I would make you guys breakfast as a thanks for letting me stay here...and don't worry I bought all of the ingredients myself...but if you don't want it I can-" Paps cut me off
"THIS IS AWESOME THANK YOU!" He yelled and hugged me I giggled and he let go. I placed the food on plates and handed one to Paps I was gonna go get Sans after I made his plate but I heard someone walking down the stairs. Guess Paps woke him up with his screaming...
"Paps! You better not be burning the house down! What are you making anyway it actually smells good" Sans said walking into the kitchen and looking at me...he stopped in his tracks and looked me up and down...
"So that's why I don't smell spaghetti..." he said with a chuckle and I handed him a plate with a bottle of ketchup. I grabbed a soda from the fridge and brought it over to the table where the boys were sitting down. I looked at both of them with a smile.
"You know you didn't have to do this..." Sans said looking at me happily
"Well I wanted to since you were nice enough to let me stay here...so just eat my thank you already I just finished bacon it" I said with and giggle along with Sans
"Oh come on don't make me lose my appetite" Paps said annoyed and we all took a bite of the food. There eyes widened and I thought I didn't something wrong...there was a long pause of silence....
"HUMAN KAY THIS IS AMAZING!" Paps yelled
"Yeah Kay this is really fricken good"Sans said and I looked at both of them giving a closed eye smile
"Thank you both...but this is missing something..." I rubbed my chin in thought then I got up and went to the kitchen realizing what I forgot. I came back to the table with another bottle of ketchup. Sans and Paps looked surprised which honestly confused me
"What..?" I said looking at both of them raising an eyebrow
"Oh...um its just not a lot of people here like ketchup..." Sans said kinda embarrassed
"Well it's quiet normal to like Ketchup on the surface...humans kinda put it on everything" I said with a laugh
"Niceeee I guess we just got to ketchup to them" he said and we both laughed Paps just face palmed.
We continued eating and talking for a long time then I got up and started cleaning the dishes. Which Paps and Sans wanted to help me do but I denied them.
"WHY CANT YOU CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF LIKE THE HUMAN SANS!" Paps yelled at Sans and they started to argue for awhile...they reminded me of Ren and Damon when they used to argue all the time in the studio and Laurance would sit there like the pacifist he was trying to break them up. I laughed internally at the memory and finished the dishes but when I went to move my hair I realized it was caught to my necklace.
"Hey Sansssss can you help me really quick?" Paps and him stopped arguing and he turned to me
"Yeah sure with what?" He asked walking over from his seat at the table as Paps yelled that he 'wasn't finished lecturing him' I just smiled
"Umm could you hold my hair up real quick" I asked and picked a handful of hair in hand holding it up.
"umm sure..." he seemed a bit surprised which seemed normal now since it seemed they didn't really know anything about humans....but he held my hair up as I started to untangle it from my necklace.
"That's really pretty!" Paps said and I smiled getting it untangled and Sans let my hair fall back into place...
"Aww thanks" I said and they both looked at it as I smiled at the ring
"What is it?" Sans asked drinking some ketchup and Paps was drinking water
"Oh its my engagement ring" I said calmly and both of them spit out what they were drinking in sync coughing
"ENGAGEMENT!" Paps yelled confused
"Your getting married!" Sans said coughing chocking on his drink
"No my fiancee pass away a long time ago" I gripped the ring that was on the chain
"Oh I'm sorry!" Sans said and Paps stood up scolding Sans for the stupid question
"Its okay don't worry about it" I smiled a broken smile walking to the stairs
"I'm gonna head upstairs for awhile so if you need anything ill be in my room" I said facing away from them and walking upstairs then straight into my room.
I closed my door...and one single tear fell down my face...I wiped it away and decided to go find something to do...
