"Ah, now don't you ladies look ravishing this evening. Please, have a seat. I'd love for you three to make my company~
Laslow purred out his words, presenting each of the three ladies he was scheduled with for the next quarter hour with a different colored rose. In their profile he was given and skimmed over just before opening up shop he was told that one girl, Lillie, loved yellow roses while another one fo them named Rosie liked regular old red roses. Lastly, the girl in the middle named Michelle liked those pink splattered roses. He made sure he had them for each girl, considering he has more roses than any florist around. The girls were all flattered, receiving their favorite rose, and sat down on the futon. Laslow smiled and sat in the middle of Lillie and Michelle, opening his arms and letting the three girls squeeze in to lean next to him.
"Low, why don't you lovelies tell me all about yourselves? I'd love to know each of you~"
Laslow looked at all three. The profiles said that Rosie and Michelle were outgoing. Michelle played for Nohr's softball team while Rosie was on the cheer squad. There there was sweet shy little Lillie. He really sympathized and related to her. Shy and reserved. Maybe he can specially make her night. She could deserve the attention. Laslow isn't used to juggling more than two people at once, but the club is packed so he is sure he can manage.
"What about you, Lillie? I'd love to know what novels you've fotten into recently. You liked to read, yes?"
Lillie gasped and both Michelle and Rosie turned to herm excited for her. They didn't seem jealous at all. Laslow tried to remember if they had any familial connections. He remembers Rosie visiting countless times before and often dragging Michelle along before Michelle began coming in her own accord. The two must have brought Lillie along to drag her out of her shell. She was blushing and adorable. She got a light in her eye, like she was going to start going off on a tangent.
"Well I started reading City of Ember Which was amazing! It reminds us about how we should reserve our resources and gives valuable insight on how people don't like to feel trapped and always wish for better! It makes the sentence "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" really stand out! I totally recommend it!"
She was smiling and giddy, excited over her book. Laslow just grinned and nodded at her, the other two girls being fully supportive of her. In fact, Michelle even moved over and gave up her spot cuddled up to Laslow for Lillie. That was really nice of her. Laslow made me two notes of when he sees Michelle next in the hallways during school to present her with her pink splatter patterned rose. She deserves it for acting so kind, and Laslow never forgets his mental notes. He turned his head and smiled over at Rosie.
"And what about you, Rosie. What happened to make my sunshine smile today? I noticed your new lipstick if that has anything to do with it."
Rosie gasped and blushed, smiling even more like a lovesick idiot. Laslow definatley know how that feels.
"Oh wow, you noticed. This is why you're my favorite host ever! See, in Cheer today we were given a new routine for the Varisty football game coming up and since Nohr's colors aren't navy blue, purple, and black I decided I would try something else rather than the stereotypical red lisptick so I came to school wearing lavender lipstick and everyone loved it! It's grape flavored! I know you don't like to give kisses for jealousy reasons so I won't ask if you want a taste."
Laslow nodded thankful for that. He made another mental note to compliment her in the halls later. She was being really considerate of his thoughts. Most guests aren't like that. He has seen what some of Mistress Camilla's and Peri's guests are like sometimes. Sick perverts are everywhere. He was lucky to have such sweet fans, even if they were mostly girls. One hundred percent girls. Sweet, precious, amazing girls.
"Ah, thank you Rosie. You truly are a Nohrian Diamond~. Now Michelle, I heard that you hit a grand slam last softball game. I'm so proud of you~"
Michelle broke out into the biggest grin and clapped her hands together, feeling really proud of herself.
"Yeah! We were down in the count. I had two strikes against me and one ball. I had everyone on base and it was the final batter of the final inning because we timed out. I was our only chance of winning. The pitcher gave me a screwball but I cranked it outfield! It didn't go quite over the fences but their outfielders were terrible! She overthrew it and I managed to steal home base! It was epic! I'm so glad I made ya proud Laslow!"
Laslow decided to rest over past Lillie Nd do the same affectionate gesture Xander gave him. He ruffled her hair playfully and he watched her eyes light up. It was amazing. Seeing everyone get so happy and light up whenever he pays attention to him. It makes his heart happy that he can make everyone else happy. He was happy that he could exist like this and be so whilesomely popular. Being a Host was the best thing in his life. But then the chiming of the grandfather clock set to go off every fifteen minutes chimed. Laslow sighed.
"Alright girls, I'm afraid we have to part. But don't worry, this isn't our final goodbye. I'll see you all either in the halls or back in my futon~"
Laslow stood up, forcing the girls to as well. Before they could leave he grabbed Lillie's hand. The fact Lillie halted made both Rosie and Michelle halt. They waited for Lillie. Laslow wanted to talk to Lillie for a moment, try to make an impact on her. He likes to leave a positive impact on all his guests.
"Lillie, i know it might be hard to come out of your shell but Take it from me, someone who's been there, nothing is as bad as it seems. You have good friends. Just smiled through it all and your confidence will come to you."
Lillie stared at him with her mouth agape a moment before she was dragged off by her two friends, it wanting to waste Laslow's Time. He chuckled as he waved the girls off. He then gathered their profiles and walked over to Xander, who was going to give him his next guests' profiles. He likes tin be prepared. He only has five minutes to prepare after all. Peri was just skipping off when Laslow stood before Xander, handing him the profiles and extanging them for a singular new one. Before Laslow could question it, Xander had his own words to voice right now.
"You know, Laslow, you're very popular. You're excellent at what you do. You're so kind to your guests and you attract so many good people. I'm really proud of you Laslow."
Laslow blushed and felt his stomach do a flip as Xander ruffled his hair again, smiling at him. Laslow grinned and hugged the profile tight. He forgot to look at the profile as he walked back to his futon. He took out a classic red rose. He places the profile down and opened it up, skimming over it. His face went pale when he realized who decided to choose him for his next guest. It was Charlotte, the gold digger of the school. Laslow gulped.
How was he going to sweet talk his way around her?
1283 Words
A/N
Okay that word count was weak, but at least it tells you what the hell is going on. It tells you how long a guest stays with a host and how Laslow feels about all this.
Also suspense
Two chapters in and we already have a romance plot set in stone and we have an obstacle to overcome. And that obstacle is Charlotte. Trust me when I say I have a reason for doing this so soon.
Hopefully you enjoy this story, even though it is extremely terrible. Love you guys!
