Unexpected Hug

______ Garu's point of view

It wasn't long till Garu and Abyo were sparing. Garu's thin silver blade made quick cuts in the air drawing Abyo away then back again, ready for the challenge.

Garu grinned faintly as Abyo lunged again with his fist out to hit Garu's side, but the preparedness of Garu was outmatched and unthinkable.
Garu easily dodged with a shift of his torso and used the hilt of his sword to ram into Abyo's jaw. Abyo took the attack fully and landed with a yelp.
Quickly Abyo wiped his now tender jaw and jumped up with his fist in front of his face.

"Heeeeeey! No weapons!!!"

Garu rolled his eyes still with a faint grin as he sheathed his blade. Garu then tumped his thumb to his chest with a five hand shape signing the word

'FINE'

Abyo grinned toothy and signed back a quick

'SHOW-OFF'

Garu ignored this with a growing grin and easily unbuckled and discarded the sword to the side. He then held his fist up in a protective stance clearly ready.

"Don't start grinning now, Ga-ru! This is where it gets real!"

Abyo barked, grinning right back as the two boys then launched into a whirlwind of punches and dodges.
Left. Right. Left. Right.

The tune of Garus' heart began to beat to the pound of fist and nothing but that beat mattered.

To just get away like this in a fit of flying fist and wit was what he craved. He felt that he was worth honoring most when he was in action.
Garu would one day bring honor to his family's name. Show them all that he... He was not his father.
Would never be his father...

Deep down, Garu knew that he had done many things to win respect amongst his peers.

As he was thinking he didn't hear the new arrival approaching. He was too distracted in the swings for when Abyo lit up in a laugh and backed away, it was too late.
Fate had pinned him to the ground literally and Garu was drowning in kisses.

_______ Pucca's point of view

When Pucca spotted her darling Garu it took only a swift jump to have him on the ground.

She let out a soft giggle that had Garu turning red like usual as she gave him light pecks on his cheeks and nose.

Garu growled and sat up, pushing her off him. Pucca smiled brightly up at him as she signed with a flick of her hands.

'AFTERNOON *pause* Garu'

Garu blinked and made a face before getting up, brushing off the dust from him. His dark handsome eyes slide to her.

'AFTERNOON *pause* Pucca.'

Garu eventually signed back as the cute red blush on him turned a natural tone.
Pucca giggled and stood up giving him a sweet look that had him turning.

Unknown to the group but Pucca felt a little pang of sadness go through her as Garu turned from her.

It was a normal feeling that she just could not understand. Pucca never doubted her love that was for Garu, not for a second, but it began to hurt more as they got older.

"Pucca! You would not believe how much of a baby Abyo is!"

Ching laughed as she grabbed Pucca by the arm making Pucca jump from her thoughts. Pucca slowly turned to her best friend with a small smile and questioning expression. Ching took the expression as to go on and they began to chat.
