"Joy comes in the morning..."Onika
September 11th
St. Louis, Missouri
8:00 amBeep, beep, beep!
The blaring sound of someone's alarm was the first thing that roused me from my sleep, I went to sit up to find the shrill noise but was stopped when a warm body wrapped tightly around mines squeezed tighter, suddenly my thoughts cleared when I remembered last night had actually happened, and I wasn't dreaming.
I'd actually confessed my feelings...and they were reciprocated, never in a million years would I have thought Beyoncé would feel the same, let alone verbally tell me how she felt.
"Bey...bey." I whispered lightly trying to untangle myself from her hold but for some reason she was insanely strong.
"Giselle." I said apprehensively using her middle name, I heard her groan before she cuddled deeper into me.
"Mm, wassup mama." She said groggily, her voice making my cheeks blush from the deeper than usual tone it had taken on.
"Uh...I gotta go to the bathroom...that's all." I said quietly before feeling her arms gently unravel themselves from around me.
"My fault I just haven't slept that good in a while." She said before rubbing her eyes, even though she'd just woken up her strikingly beautiful features were prominent in the morning sun, but it was even more breathtaking knowing her beauty was so much more than skin deep.
"It's alright." I finally spoke with a gentle smile after admiring her for a few moments.
"Goodmorning though." She said smiling.
"Morning." I smiled back shyly feeling like this was all so surreal.
We stared at eachother for awhile before Beyoncé upped her brows in what seemed to be confusion.
"I thought you had to use the bathroom?" She asked.
"Oh! I...I do, I just...uh actually let me just go!" I said nearly flying out the comfortable bed from my embarrassment, as soon as I made it to the bathroom I closed the door before taking a deep breath to gather my composure, I took a glance around the bathroom marveling at the pristine marble accents fit for someone with a serious bag, which of course Beyoncé had.
My eyes quickly found the toilet and I rushed over to do my business, once I was finished I walked over to sink and began to wash my hands, once I was done I looked up into the mirror staring at my reflection deeply.
My life has changed drastically in the course of a few weeks, I'd made one of the best career moves to date and my portfolio was flourishing, my business life was perfect... but I knew my personal life was anything but. I knew I needed to have a serious conversation with my mother, I knew being honest was my best route, but no one ever said it would be easy.
I sighed pushing a few stray pieces of hair from my face, it's like things could never be simultaneously good for me.
