Chapter 8

I kind of see this chapter a bit short but I was in a rush... I hope you like it

The ceremony was beautiful and fun, it was Vegas after all. Everyone moved into another room Chaz surprisingly reserved as a gift for all to have a private dinner. They'd pay the staff for discretion on the wedding and the dinner so nothing would go out for the press yet. Together as a family they all joked and talking about the new wives.

"Are you happy?" Chaz asked Cher sitting next to her on the table

"I am happy and in love" she said smiling

"Never thought you would get married again" he said

"Well last time was an impulse, when I started with Meryl I knew she was the one who would change my thoughts about marriage. This time it's positively forever" Cher said looking lovingly at her wife who was talking with her siblings.

"I'm glad to see you so happy. You know when you go public it's going to be difficult"

"I know, the paparazzi are always a nightmare, we can handle it"

"Of course you can, you two are icons and your fans will love it" Chaz teased making Cher laugh

On the other end of the room Meryl was talking to Don

"You look happy" he said

"I am happy, finally my dream has come true" she sighed

"I'm so proud of you for facing this and to decide to face what is coming" Don said

"Thank you, I know it's going to be hard but we love each other and will stand strong together" Don looked sadden, she noticed "Don I'm so sorry for putting you through everything you went through for years. I know you love me and I loved you but..."

"Don't worry, I have learned to accept that you love another person and being it Cher who is a wonderful women I kind of understand it. You know what they say; if you love someone, set them free." he said sweetly

"I will be eternally grateful for everything you've done for me" they hugged.

"We are both eternally grateful for what you have done for us" Cher said hugging meryl from behind and kissing her head

"You are both amazing women, how could I say no. I have to go now, tomorrow I have work but it was an honor to be here" he walked away, said goodbye to his children and exiting the room

Meryl turned to face her wife and gave her a tender kiss; Cher noticed a sad face on her

"What's wrong?" Cher asked

"I have a strange feeling that I'm not going to see him again" Meryl said

"Don't worry, you will. It must not be easy for him but he is happy for us and at peace" Cher said "Besides, you have your kids in common and eventually you have to hear from him"

"You're right, sorry for downing the mood"

"You don't have to apologized babe, he was your husband and he helped us for so long. Now we are happy and we are going to live our lives together" they shared a passionate kiss and everybody around them started to cheer and whistle. Both ended up blushing and laughing

"Now what is going to happen?" Meryl asked Cher

"Now you are going to enjoy your 4 day honeymoon because Cher still has a tour to finish" Diane said approaching them "Meryl stays for a few shows and then..."

"Then as much as I love for mom to stay at my apartment, she will get out moving to California with her wife" Mamie interrupted also approaching "There is nothing to say because everything is already there"
