As she lay there blood flowing freely from her arm she slowly turned over to see her father with his head sticking out the window staring at her. Was he worried? No. Was he sorry? No. He was laughing. He was whole heartedly laughing. He loved causing her pain. The same pain her mother endured. But what she couldn't figure out in all her years of living was why? What had made him hate her mother and herself so much? Her thoughts were cut short when she suddenly felt a light weight on her abdomen. It was Celeste sitting on her stomach. "Sissy! Sissy!" The small girl cried. "Are you ok?" Raven licked her dry lips and slowly nodded 'yes'. Everything was fuzzy now. Seeing spots. She was almost completely enveloped in the darkness when she felt a pair of strong arms around her back and under her legs. 'What the hell?' She thought. She searched for a face to go with the strong body that was holding her gently. It was Damien. "Thank you." Was the last words that escaped her blush pink lips before letting the darkness take over her.
Hello everyone! So sorry this update comes so late and isn't the longest. I've got so much stuff going on and haven't been in the best mental space lately. But I still wanted to put out another chapter. Better late than never. ;)
