Chapter 37

Columbus:
"Baby are you ready? We got to get to the office so we can sign for this marriage license."

"I'm coming. I'm putting Ella down. And I'm headed down."

I can't believe we are about to meet with the wedding coordinator and go to the courts to sign and get our marriage license. This is the day that I have been waiting for. God knows I love this woman.

Ashley:
"Ok baby. I'm ready. I'm so excited to meet with Mrs Eva and her business Creations By Holy Hands. She is amazing with her work. Where did you find this lady at?"

"She's on Facebook, Instagram and twitter."

"Wow you really did your research didn't you?"

"Yeah I did."

"Let's head out and do this signing on the marriage license."

We headed out to the courthouse and we talked and listen to music. We loved the quality time alone. We didn't get much of that since Ella was born. She demands a lot of attention.

Columbus:
"Ok baby we are here. You ready?"

"Let's do this."

We got out the car and headed to the floor we needed to be on and waited to be called back. They called out our name and we walked to the back.

They asked us a few questions about our names and parents. We answered the questions. As the time progressed we got very excited. The clerk sighed off on the marital license and passed it to us as well.

We both sighed the paper and smiled as the guy gave us our license. Oh how excited we was to have this done. As we walked to the car Columbus looked at me.

"We almost there baby. The future Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Short. That sounds good don't it?"

"Yes it does. Wow I'm about to finally get married."

"Yes baby." Ashley said.
"I am about to marry the man of my dreams."

Columbus looked at Ashley and said "baby I love you and I can't wait for us to be a happy family. With the losses I've taken I'm so glad you was there to build me up. I can't see my life without you. You and Ella are my world."

Ashley started crying.

"Oh baby don't do this. I'm messing up my make up."Ashley said.

Columbus smiles and said that's ok I love you with it or without it. You still my angel and you still beautiful."

Columbus and Ashley hugged and kissed each other right then and there. Columbus looked down at her.

"Come on. Let's go meet the wedding coordinator."

They drove to the event center to meet the event planner.

As they walked in they came to a lady.

"Hello my name is Eva are you Columbus and Ashley?"

"Yes we are."

"Hello how are you guys? Welcome to Creations By Holy Hands. Follow me to my office and we can get right down to this."
