Over and over

I sat there completely shocked. Calum just told me he loved me, and I had no clue what to say.

"Please say something jo" he said after about 10 seconds went by, I looked into his eyes, they looked scared and desperate.

"Sorry it's just a bit of a shock" I replied as I ran my hand through my hair.

"I know. I wanna ask something Jo but if you don't want to then it's ok" he rambled nervously.

"Go on cal" I replied with a small smile.

"Can I take you to the cinema? For a date, if you don't want to then that's ok honestly" he asked as he fiddled with the zip on his hoodie.

I started thinking about how I would never be with Luke, and how he would never like me, and how maybe it was time to get over him and move on with someone I know just as well, and knows me just as well as Luke.

"I'd love to" I replied, a smile spread across his face and he kissed my cheek.

"Be dressed by 6, I'll come and pick you up then, I've gotta go help my mum with something so I'll see you later jo" he said as he jumped up, smiled at me, said goodbye to the others and then left.

"Told you, yous would regret last night, he's just walked out in a rush" Luke said as he walked into the living room.

"No actually, were going on a date later to the cinema" I replied, Luke's face looked unreadable.

"Oh. Weren't we supposed to be hanging out tonight?" He asked.

"Come on, you've got Ash and Michael to hang out with, they're your best friends too" I giggled, he rolled his eyes.

"Yes but you're my favourite" Luke whined, crossing his arms.

I threw a pillow at him, and he pouted.

"That's evil picking favourites" I said as I playfully slapped his leg.

"Hey stop beating me u-" he started but got cut off by his phone chiming.

He pulled it out of his pocket and read the text, his face lit up with excitement.

"Georgia wants to meet up later! Yes!" Luke shouted with the biggest smile, as he jumped up and ran into the kitchen to Ashton and Michael.

"IM GOING ON A DATE WITH GEORGIA!!" Luke screamed.

My heart dropped to my stomach, I saw this coming but didn't think she'd text him the day after the party. Ashton then came walking into the living room, he gave me a sad smile as he walked over and hugged me.

"That must sting jo you ok?" He asked as he pulled away and looked me in my eyes with both his hands on my shoulders.

"I'll be ok, I'm used to it. Besides I'm gonna try to move on now, I think that's the best thing I could do really. Calum told me he's had a thing for me for ages and he's asked me out on a date for tonight so I'm gonna see what happens there" I said and shrugged.

"Yeah Jo I think so too, I mean I've seen you so upset over the years, I've seen you cry so many tears, you deserve to be happy for once" he exclaimed as he rubbed my shoulder as he started leaving the room.

He stopped his tracks and turned around to face me again.

"And jo? Calum really loves you, you know. He told me everything, if you don't feel anything for him after a couple dates please tell him, he'll understand, I just don't wanna see cal get hurt" he said.

"I promise I won't hurt Calum, Ash, He means just as much to me as he does to you" I replied with a small smile.

He smiled back and left the room.

I got up from the sofa and decided to go home, let the guys get on with whatever they were doing, so that I could relax for a little while then get dressed for the date later on.

I said goodbye to the guys and closed Luke's front door behind me. I felt the warm air hit me and in that one second of being outside I was already boiling. I turned around and starting walking to my house which was literally 3 houses down from Luke's, that had always been one of the best things about being best friends.

I walked in through my front door and went straight up to my room, I picked out an outfit and laid it down at the bottom of my bed, I was still a bit hungover so I thought a little nap would help.

- 4 hours later -

I woke up feeling sort of confused, it was one of those naps when you wake up thinking what time is it, where am I, who am I, you know?

The horrible hangover I had, thankfully disappeared. It was now 4 o'clock so I got up and went straight to the bathroom to get ready.

I had a brisk shower, brushed my teeth and dried my hair, then I ran into my room and chucked on my outfit that I had laid out earlier, which was a pair of black leggings, red converse and a red halter top.

I chucked my hair into a bun and applied some concealer, mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss to my face to make me feel a bit prettier, then I was completely done.

I walked down the stairs and looked at the clock on the hallway wall, it read 5:52pm, Calum would be picking me up soon so I just scrolled through my phone whilst I sat on my staircase.

My mum walked through the door, making me jump, and even though she had worked all day and looked so tired she was still so beautiful to me, I always looked at her and wished I could be just as pretty as her, or Isabella. I loved my mum with all of my heart, her and Bella were my world, I dreaded anything to happen to them like what happened to my dad.

"Hiya honey you ok?" My mum asked as she started walking into the kitchen with grocery shopping bags.

I got up and took the bags out of her hands to give her some help.

"Yeah I'm ok mum, just waiting for Calum to pick me up, we're going to the cinema" I said as I placed the bags on the counter and started putting the groceries into the fridge and cupboards.

"Aw bless well you two have fun ok? And don't be back too late please, and be careful out there, I'm sure Calum will protect you but honestly just keep your eyes open and be alert ok?" She told me, her voice laced with worry.

"Don't worry mum I'll be ok, I promise to message you and call you if I need you, and to let you know where I am" I reassured her, she gave me a soft smile.

The doorbell rang, I walked up to the front door, opening it to reveal Calum standing there, a big bouquet of pink roses in his hand.

"These are for you jo" he said with a huge smile on his face as he passed me the flowers.

I blushed and gave him a hug.

"Thanks cal they're beautiful" I replied as I admired the roses.

"I know this is cheesy, but- you're even more beautiful" he said as he blushed.

"Thanks cal" I said, I shouted to my mum to let her know I was leaving, and told her I loved her, then I placed the flowers down on the table near the front door, walked out and shut the door behind me.

We got in the car and cal drove us to the cinema.

When we got there we got in line for some snacks and such, which took a while, but was totally worth it, then we went to our seats and sat down just as the adverts were starting.
