Chapter 7: Protector

Your Pov
At the boy's practice, nothing had really happened. I just sat on the floor watching them and making sure everyone was okay and no one got hurt. The boss hadn't been giving me much to do, though I didn't mind at all.
I kept thinking about Jungkook and I in the bathroom. He really truly cared for me.. I could just see it in his eyes. He was all I wanted. He made my life more bearable. I could tell he was nothing like Kihyun was. Thank God.
As the boys continued to practice, i told them to take a ten minute break and they all nodded in agreement. Jungkook walked over and sat down next to me. I leaned my head on his shoulder. His breathing was heavy, but that's no surprise since he's been practicing for awhile.
"Do you want me to get you anything?" I asked him. He just shook his head while smiling at me. I got up anyways and got everyone more water since they had all drank theirs very fast.
A few moments later we heard a knock at the door. It was LeeSou, the lady from the front desk. "Hello boys, hello Y/N. I have someone for you all to meet, he will be co-assistant with Y/N. Meet Kihyun." This has got to be a joke. My heart dropped to my stomach. A rush of fear spread throughout my whole body. Jungkook must've noticed. He pulled me closer to him and watched Kihyun with steady eyes. Making sure he wouldn't do anything, even though he had no idea who Kihyun was, he could tell you were horrified.
"Hello, i'm Kihyun, i'm very excited to be working with all of you!" He sounded so nice and innocent, like he wouldn't even kill a fly. But he was the complete opposite of that. Kihyun was awful. I kept my head down. Trying to make myself invisible.. it didn't work.
I felt eyes on me. I was too scared to look up. There was just no way i could look at the man who abused me and destroyed me. I don't even think I can work here anymore. There's just no way. I was so lost in my thoughts that i hadn't even realized the figure who had walked in front of me. Kihyun.
"Hello Y/N! So good to see you again after all of these years! Very excited to be working with you too! ;)"
"H-hello K-kih-kihyun." I stuttered so bad. I couldn't help it, nor did i care at this point. I was scared. I don't think i've ever been more scared in my entire life.

Jungkooks Pov
I could tell how scared Y/N was. I have no idea who this man is but I already don't like him. Y/N couldn't even look him dead in the eye when he talked to her. I pulled her closer to me and he seemed to notice it.
"Ah, you must be the famous Jeon Jungkook! Didn't know you and Y/N had a thing. Ah reminds me of the time when me and her were together. She's a real treat. ;)" At this point, Y/N was so close to full on breaking down. Her entire body started shaking uncontrollably. I tried comforting her as much as I could but it didn't really work. I also realized something. This was Y/N's ex. This is the man who put her through all this pain. At this point, I wanted Kihyun to leave as fast as possible. I needed Y/N to be calm again and feel safe. That's all I wanted.
"Yes I am Jungkook, and yes, Y/N is great. She's the best person on this planet." Kihyun smirked at that and slightly laughed. Y/N was still shaking but she looked at me and I gave her a reassuring look.
"I see. Well it was great meeting everyone.. see you all tomorrow!" And with that Kihyun left. As soon as he walked out of the door. I looked at Y/N and made sure she was okay. Tears were prickling down her face. I pulled her into a tight hug and wouldn't let go of her. She hugged back and she looked up at me slightly smiling at the hug. I gave her a bunny smile back. Her smile grew slightly after that. I wiped her tears away and kept asking her if she was okay. She always nodded, though i knew she was lying.
"Y/N, just stay at my house tonight. There's no way i'm letting you go home by yourself" She nodded and you both locked hands and walked out.
