"Marinette, it's almost Christmas! How are you going to finish all of these presents in time?" Tikki looked doubtfully at her chosen.

Marinette sighed deeply. "I have a week, Tikki. It'll be fine... it'll all be fine."

"It's not that I don't believe in you. It's just that I think you should've started sooner," Tokki clarified.

"Yeah, I understand. When will I ever learn?"

"One day, karma will wake you up."

"I hope so. But until then, I'm going to keep procrastinating by going downstairs."

"Did I not just say anything?" Tikki put her "hands" on "hips."

"Mm, I heard you, but I need a break. You can join me or not, but I need a breath of fresh air- or really any air that isn't my bedroom. It's starting to feeling claustrophobic in here."

Marinette got up from her pink swivel chair and skipped to the hatch. Tikki floated behind her in pursuit. She climbed down the ladder carefully, making sure her limbs were steady before descending. She'd fallen more times than she liked to admit.

She then went down the stairs to the bakery floor. Before leaving the kitchen area, she grabbed a fuzzy gray coat off of the coat rack to cover her pajamas. Thin cotton pants and a simply tank were not going to keep her warm alone if she went outside into the frigid night air.

"Hello, cupcake," Marinette's father greeted her as she came from the kitchen.

"Hi, Papa! I'm just quickly stepping outside."

"Okay. I'll need your help with this cake when you're done alright?"

"That's fine. Be back soon."

Marinette exited outside into the freezing evening air. It was snowing so heavily, the sky was almost completely white because of the multitude of snowflakes fluttering down. The wind was roaring. She decided she wouldn't remain long since it was so cold.

Tentatively, Marinette stepped onto the snow-covered pavement. She strolled down the sidewalk, a few meters from the doors. The air was biting her skin so coldly, she couldn't stay much longer. She looked around her in wonderment, despite her shivering, and admired the beautiful white utopia.

A shadow appeared in front of her on the sidewalk. She couldn't see their face, for it was backlit by the dim streetlight and obscured by the relentless snow.

The person continued walking toward her and she squinted trying to make out what they looked like. From their silhouette, it appeared they were fairly tall and lean. They were probably a male, judging by the broadness of their shoulders.

The figure was a few meters away now. Marinette took a step toward them, blinking the snow away rapidly, trying to look at their facial features. The person held a hand over their eyes, shielding the snowflakes, their gaze fixated on the sidewalk in front of them.

Marinette drew in a surprised breath. The figure approaching her was none other than Adrien Agreste... she thought. She didn't want to hug him and makes things weird if it was a stranger, so she called out into the whistling wind, "Adrien?"

He looked up and realized who was in front of him. "Marinette!"

"Adrien, do you want to come inside?"

"What?" The wind must've been too loud for him to hear what she'd said.

"I said, do you want to come inside?"

"Sure! That's be awesome!"

Marinette led the way back into the safety of the bakery's warmth. They entered and both soaked in the lovely heating of the entryway. Marinette took off her coat and shook the snow off by the door. Adrien gingerly brushed the snow off of his.
