Weathering Captain Chris was child's play compared to what Sensei Sam wanted to do to him. Brandon was convinced that every day was his last, which contributed significantly to his low morale.

After a good two months of intense working, both fish were tired and frustrated. Sensei Sam observed that while Brandon was definitely stronger and better, his physique didn't indicate it.

Brandon was dealing with his own stress – he was more homesick than ever.

"When can I go home?" He asked Sensei Sam.

"I suppose whenever you'd like," the dejected puffer replied. "But you know, if you come here and do this, you may as well complete it."

Brandon considered this. If he earned this skill, then he wouldn't have to go home empty-handed. He liked that idea, except earning this skill was so strenuous. Still, he stuck to it. It was the first commitment he fulfilled.

Sensei Sam decided that Brandon wouldn't suit the paper ads. He would have to model for the TV adverts. Thus, on Brandon's last karate test was all on video. Brandon was glad that he could help Sam out.

Black belt in his bag, Brandon went to the Japanese Waterport, headed for home. Sensei Sam saw him off.

For once, everything went well.
