"Olivia, do you know what time it is?" Olivia's mom asked her as soon as he picked up the phone. Olivia didn't want to call, but now that they had detectives shooting at them, she figured things were only going to get worst. If they did, she wanted to make sure she told her family how she feels about them. Hoping that they didn't think she was thinking about committing suicide. Her sisters entertained her and seem like they appreciated the sentiment. Her mom would be another story.
"It's about 3: 15," Oliva said with cheer. "I wanted to call and say I love you and thank you for everything. You know me. random."
"Your sisters called me before you did. It's not random. What's going on? YOu're not going to kill yourself are you?" her mother asked.
"No, mom, I just had a bad dream. That I lost you all." Olivia didn't lie, she did feel like she was losing them. It was her that most likely would be gone. Even with Haze as her partner, no, with Haze as part of her now, she wasn't exactly the best fighter. Colin and Tyree had their military experience which helped enhance Razor and Crush. Ashely was strong and enhanced Flair. She kept herself in shape, but not enough for Haze to be any stronger. She didn't see herself surviving, but she was praying that God would see her through. She didn't doubt him, but it never hurts to call family to tell them you love them.
"Olivia, I know you're not telling me the whole truth, but I'm going to trust in God that you are going to be okay. You're not losing any of us anytime soon." Olivia's mom said and Olivia could feel the love over the phone.
"Thanks, mom," Olivia said. She looked at her group of companions. Well, mostly, she glanced over at Tyree. Their Sparks receded into their bodies except around the wrist. "I've been thinking about Tyree lately."
"Oh, Olivia. You're dating Mark now. I told you not to start something new until you closed the door to your heart for Tyree."
"I thought I did." Olivia kept remaining casual. Trying not to show emotion. Not here where Tyree can see. She liked Mark, he was tall, dark, handsome. Christain and own his own business. She did everything she could between breaking up with Tyree and dating Mark to make sure she was over him.
"Olivia, it was only months. I'm happy to see happy, but a mother knows when her child isn't happy. You weren't ready, baby."
"But Mark is successful and he knows what he wants out of life, for both of us. Tyree is still content to stay where he is."
"Baby, the heart wants who it wants. Your brain is telling you to stay with Mark and take it to the next level. Your heart is still pining for Tyree. You have to listen to your spirit.
"You know I'm trying mom." Olivia paused. She repeated the lines in her head. The same line that Tyree told her over and over again. She smiled to herself and looked at him.
"Olivia, are you still there."
"I am. Mom, do you think I expected too much from Tyree?"
"Honey, we all have certain expectations. Sometimes they too high and sometimes they are too low. Life and love is an adventure and we can only learn by stepping out on faith."
Olivia swallowed hard. Still unsure of herself now. She was falling in love with Mark, but was it for the right reasons? "Thanks, mom. You get some sleep."
"Good night, honey, pray about it. You know I support your decisions. Mostly."
Oliva walked up to the others. Tyree stepped away along with Ashley. She could hear Haze inside her head asking why doesn't she just go with Tyree?
Because Tyree isn't driven. He could turn into her father. He wasn't as responsive as Mark. There was, and then she realized how contradicting she was being. She was trying to forget Tyree but hasn't been as supportive recently because of work. It's not the same thing she kept telling herself. It's not contradicting, he didn't come to pick me up when I was basically stranded.
