Chapter 23

" I don't like it." I said to everyone as we walked from the apartment complext to the back of the Barnes and Noble store wearing all black. 

<I agree with you.> Flair said. < For once.>

"Even Flair agrees with me. Why don't we get the local authorities to handle this with us? We can prove everything."

"Because then they would want to experiment on all Sparks, which means examining us." Olivia said. 

<punch her.>

<no> Ashley thought to Flair. "We don't know that for sure. This is crazy. I know I was gung ho in the beginning but we could be in serious trouble if we're not prepared. Having more firepower wouldn't be a bad thing.

Ashley still followed the others. Cursing herself. She was only going along because she wanged to solve the mystery, or more accurately to see if they were right.  Megatron has been there  only real suspect.  However he wsa using someone as his control. 

Colin looked back as they walk. "In the beginning? We had a plan and you didn't stick with it."

Ashley stopped in her tracks. "When Tyree could sense both bodies in there I made the call to act."

"By yourself, which was dangerous." Colin stopped and turned around. The two personalities clashing for the first time since Ashley frist bonded with Flair. 

"Flair was, hurt, by Megatron. Megatron is trying to recruit host so they can bring their war to our world. Two people are dead because of him. I wanted to make sure he didn't escape."

"and again Ashley it was dangerous. If we don't have each others backs then the mission fails. If the mission fails then he wins."

"You don't understand where she's coming from." Olivia said. "Megatron forced Haze to kill her family."

Ashley was stunned. She didn't expect Olivia to take her side. "Megatron molested Flair."

Colin  looked at both women. Ashley could see he was thinking about the right words to say. "I'm sorry that happened, but what good is revenge if you both die? Listen I know this Megatron guy is a creep.  I want to stop him just as bad as you do. Trust me. In order to do that we need to be on the same page."

Ashley looked at Tyree, who was just watching and listenging.  Olivia was visbally upset. Colin had a point. She did try to take matters into her own hands. 

<because you're more capable than Colin.>  Flair said. <besides who made him leader? just because he's hosting our acting captain, doesn't mean we need to follow him. We are smarter than both of them. Trust me. Razor is to clumsy, his only real skill is fighting, and that's how he became second in command.>

<No, Colin is right. We have to work with everyone. MAybe we are the smarted here, but we can't be arrogant. It was stupid to go in there by ourselves. I just thought we figured out the puzzle and I went for it.>

"Can we figure what we're going to do after we confront him?" Tyree asked. She noticed he didn't take any position on either argument. This must be one of the situiations that cause Olivia to break up with him. Indeciviness."

"Tyree's right. For now lets check out this Barnes and Noble store. This is where Quinns phone signal is coming from."

"We should go over some strategies." Tyree offered again. Almost like he was trying to postpone everything. "

"Right, so we know he has an easy time controlling humans and the ice tribe. Which means Crush, Razor, and Flair will have to be on their toes. Olivia, you and HAze may have to hang back and be support if we get hurt."
