As predicted Sam didn't survive the night. 11:51 to be exact. I was there the whole time. At this point I feel grateful that put parents are no longer alive. Having to tell them that there son is dead because you couldn't raise him correctly is not exactly preferred. And I'm glad he's gone. I'm actually envious that he got to leave. He will no longer have to suffer in a world he didn't ask to he put in.
I do what I have to do. Fill out forms. Say goodbye. That kind of stuff. The doctors seemed surprised when I sad that there wasn't gonna be a funeral. If they knew they would understand. But they don't know, so I can't blame them.
After I leave the hospital I go back to his house. Symphony perched in the window. I walk in. I turn all of the lights on and begin to clean up her mess. When I'm finished I wash my hands and decide to stay the night here. I prepare a blanket and a pillow on the couch, not ready to sleep in his room. Before I can fall asleep I have an idea. I may just stay here in Tulsa. His house is payed for and I could easily get a job. A new life would be great.
When I wake up I hear Symphony barking. So I got up and took her for a walk around the block. I took in my surroundings. Nice neighborhood. Quiet. Mostly peaceful. Decent all around.
I take in the houses. The small identical white houses. Each one wth their own special detail: painted porch, swings, fences, cars, pets. Everything is exactly the same, but totally different at the same time. I like it.
When we get back to the house I start planning my trip. I would go back to Mississippi to get my belonging from Columbus. I would discuss giving up my apartment with my landlord, get my security deposit back. That would help me get on my feet. When I get back I would visit Sam's water company and stuff. Discuss the bills. And that would set everything into place. I pack my few items and leave. I would not be back until tomorrow afternoon so I leave Symphony extra food to last her.
Let's hope this works out.
