When I came back from Mississippi, everything was how I left it. I check the mail before I park the car there was a stack of mail just as I suspected. I grabbed all the mail and took it inside.
Bills bills bills bills....
I decide to take this opportunity to find out where Sam payed his bills and stuff.
After about 2 hours of calling and sorting things out a know that I have to pay 100 for electricity. 150 for water. 50 for house insurance. 7 dollars for trash pick up. And finally 90 for cable. In total in will need about 400 dollars for bills. For food I will restock every week. So in total I will need 500 dollars every week for survival.
I finally get settled in and decide to decorate the house for myself. So far it is very bland and I needed to spice it up a bit. When I brought all my things up from Columbus I had 1500 dollars and all of my personal belongings. I decide to head down to the closest grocery store and buy a weeks supply of groceries.
I grab my wallet and 100 dollars and head to town. I decided that I was going to walk to tons to try and get to know the place better. As I am walking I smell bacon and chocolate cake. I thought it was just a combo of smells until I come upon one particular house and realize both smells are coming from inside. I giggle to myself and continue.
I was only about a block and a half from my house when I hear the roaring engine of a baby blue thunderbird creeping up on me. I slightly turn my head, prepared to take off when I glance back. The car shuts off.
"Fuck" I mutter to myself.
Two boys about my age step out of the car. One has blond curly short hair, while the other has a buzz cut. They looked like they were up to something. And I didn't like it. I turned around.
"Hey, how can I help you?" I ask in the girliest voice I can muster up.
"Oh, the question is, how can we help you?" The blond kid says. He turns his head as if giving very slight orders and they both pounce.
One grabs me by the wrists while the other grabs my butt. I scream. He manages to snatch my wallet and stands. He starts going through it. At this point, I could care less about the money. But no one grabs my ass.
I head butt the buzz cut kid. As he goes stumbling backwards I hear someone yelling.
"Don't you touch her!!" A guy yells.
The buzz cut kid jumps at me again. This time joined by his friend. They pin me down once again. I take this opportunity to knee the curly one in the groins. He breaks his grip allowing me to do the same to the buzz cut kid.
That guy has now reached me. He was panting and sweatin as though he just ran a marathon. But he was hella cute.
I take this time to snatch my wallet from the curly headed guy and greet the new dude.
"Hey. Your a little late but I appreciate you comin to help me." I smile.
"Oh it was no problem. Are you new around here?" He asks.
"Uh, yes. How'd you know?"
"Well, no one in their right mind would go walkin alone by themselves unless they have a switch on em'"
"Switch?"
"Uh, switch blade. A knife?" He reasons.
"Oh. Well why would I need that?"
"Why don't you come to my house. My friends would like to meet you." He smiles.
"But I don't even know your name." I giggle.
"Oh. I'm Sodapop. Sodapop Curtis."
"I'm Clementine. Clementine Summers."
