"When can we go in and see him?" Kristina asks, running her fingers through Leo's hair.
"When his doctor thinks he's strong enough. It'll take a lot of work to get him back to who he was before, but he's so determined, I'm sure he'll be himself before the baby's born." Lucas assures her.
"Is Daddy really waking up?" Leo asks.
"Yeah, he's already awake, but not entirely. His eyes are open and he was looking around, but he's not really back in his own head yet. But our dad's so strong that he'll be-"
"Lucas," Kristina interrupts, "you know what Olivia said. You're only allowed to talk to Leo as a doctor."
"I know. Sorry. And I'm sorry you had to leave the party early."
"Are you kidding me? I'm gonna get to tell Julian that we're having a baby. I'd miss anything to be with him again."
Lucas nods slowly. "I'm gonna go. You guys deserve some time without me here."
"Wait, he's your father too. You have just as much a right to be here as Leo and the baby do." Kristina says, patting the seat next to her.
"I do have to warn you both, whatever happened to him, it messed with his head. He may not be the exact same person you remember."

Later

Kristina wraps her arms around Julian's neck, covering his face in kisses. "I missed you, I missed you so much."
Leo climbs onto his bed, almost headbutting him. "Dad!"
Julian pushes himself into his bed. "Who are you?"
Leo backs up. "It's me, Leo. You're my dad. You know who I am. I don't like this joke."
"I'm not joking. I can't remember you. I just told that one, I don't remember anything. I feel like I know you," Julian says, "but I can't remember."
Kristina backs off and presses her back to the wall. "Do you remember me?"
He shakes his head. "I'm trying. I swear."

A Few Days Later

Julian sips at his coffee, looking up and catching Kristina's stare. "So, we were married, but I was also your step-father?"
"Yeah, everyone in Port Charles likes to remind me of that fact." She sighs, one hand rubbing circles over her stomach.
"So, uh, the baby. When are you due?"
"October forth, but I've had a couple problems so they said it'll probably be a little earlier. It's a girl. I was gonna name her Julia, but since you're awake I'm trying to come up with a different name."
"Maisie." He whispers, blowing softly on his coffee
Kristina looks up quickly. "What? What did you just say?"
"I said Maisie. I think that would be a pretty name."
"That was a name we talked about when we decide to try for a baby. Maisie Faith for a girl and Warren Tate for a boy. You remembered."
He smiles. "It just came to me, Red."
She puts her hands over her heart. "It's all coming back."
"Like a boomerang. Get it, Krissy, cause boomerangs come back."
"I get it, you remember, you don't need to tease me."

Later

Julian drops onto the bed next to Kristina, panting. She rolls over to face him. "You're definitely the same man. I can't believe you got your tongue that far up there. I didn't even know your tongue was that long."
"I didn't know it was possible, I just kept going." He laughs. "Do you think the baby could feel everything we just did?"
"The downstairs neighbors could feel what we just did. I'm sure Maisie has no idea what's going on. She was probably asleep."
"She kicked me when I went down on you."
     "That's disturbingly funny."
     "You're a bitch, Babe."

"I really don't wanna have dinner with them. Can't we just take Leo and go out somewhere?" Julian whines.
"We agreed to dinner with the Quartermains, so we have to. Jonah will be there. And of course Leo will be there." Kristina says, opening her car door and waiting for Julian.
"Fine, but I'm calling Ned 'Ted' the whole time." He helps her out of the car and goes to get the cheesecakes he's stashed in the backseat.
"I love that you can't remember from 1973 to 2006 or any of Match 2017, but you remember that you don't call Ned by his name." She comments, starting to walk towards the house. She stops at the front door, grabbing the railing and bending over. "Julian! We aren't going to dinner after all."
Julian rushes to her side, leaving the cheesecakes in the car. "What's wrong?"
She takes a deep breath in and out. "Maisie wants to come meet us. Right now. My water just broke and she's not waiting for an invitation."
"I don't remember the way to the hospital!"
"You can joke when I'm not in labor." Kristina snaps, grabbing his arms.
