Chapter 3
Jay's POV:
"No, that seat is free. Would you like to sit with me?" While waiting for her to reply, I thought to myself,'It's the girl I saw at the airport!.'
"Sure, thanks!" she exclaimed. When she was seated, I saw her pull out a book from her bag. I was very surprised when she pulled out the same book I'm reading, so I asked her, "So, I see you like reading sci-fi books."
"Yup, I love anything that involves sci-fi." Now I was really surprised. "I thought girls are into romance novels?" I replied, while giving her a slightly confused look. "Well, I'm not like other girls, then." Somehow I was glad she said that. "My name is Gale, by the way. Gale Martin."
"That's a nice name, mine is Jay Edwards. So, what brings you to Australia? I can tell you're not from here because of your accent,"I asked her.
"My dad got a promotion on his job, and we had to move here."
"Oh, and what are you doing after drinking your latté?"
"I'm going shopping for school," she replied.
"Which school are you going to?" I asked her while taking a sip of my coffee.
"I'm going in my junior year at Glenroy High School." I was totally in shock! "That's where I go to school!" I said in excitement.
"Really? I guess I know one person,now." I don't know why I'm saying this, but here it goes. "Can I come shopping with you?"
Gale's POV:
Did I just hear a guy say he wanted to go shopping with me?!? I am so freaked out right now. "Sure, you can come shopping with me!!"
"Should we go now?" Jay replied.
"Sure."
*2 and a half hours later,after shopping*
I got a text from Alex saying,
From:Alex
I'm outside the mall waiting for you,HURRY UP!!!! It's almost 5:00!!!!
To:Alex
Oh, ok, I'll be right out....
"Jay, my brother's waiting for me outside. Before I go hand me your phone." When he handed me his phone, I put my number in it and said, "I'll be going now, bye, text you later!!"
Jay's POV:
I have her number in my phone,what should I do?Lots of thoughts came in my mind,but a one voice kept on saying 'TEXT HER TEXT HER TEXT HER',that's what I did..........I texted her.
To:Gale
School starts tomorrow,see you then??
From:Gale
