« Get change, were leaving» he said with no emotion while throwing clothes at me.

Not in the mood, I simply picked them up and went in the bathroom to change.

When I got out I looked up to find a smiling Jason sitting on my bed; bi-polar.

« Where are we going anyways? » I asked without any emotion

« To help you get those stupid wishes come true » he simply said while walking forward to his car.

Sitting in the passengers’ side I looked at him

« Why are you doing this anyways? » I asked wondering what has gotten into him

He reached into his pocket and took out a smoke,

lighting it up he started his nervous habit and inhaled the

substance and lightly exhaled it.

Resting it in between his fingers he looked at me

« Well uh- you see yesterday, I uh- didn’t uh- mean to make yo-» he started

« Cry? » I finished for him not using any emotion

He looked at me from the corner of the eye while

taking another puff off the repugnant tobacco roll.

« Yeah that » he said practically in a whisper.

« So where first? » I asked wanting to change the subject

He threw his cigarette out of the window while turning on the engine

« The cake shop» he said smirking

« Here » I heard Jason say while placing a piece of chocolate cake in front of me

I looked at it for minutes, smiling.

Until Jason cut off of my thoughts

« Are you going to eat it or not? » he asked impatiently.

I rolled my eyes

« I was getting to it » I said looking into his eyes smiling, he smiled back and started eating his piece.

Shocked I stared at him, he actually smiled back. Jason McCann smiled back at me April Lee. Suddenly he looked up and met my gaze and slowly swallowed

« Is there something on my face? » he asked smiling

I smiled back loving his smile

« You’re smiling » I said without thinking, immediately regretting it

He started chuckling

« Yeah, I do that sometimes » he said while digging his fork into his cake.

I looked down giving all my focus back on that piece of cake

I slowly dipped my fork into it, anticipating the

sensation of tasting this sublime bakery.

Smiling I brought a fork full of it into my mouth,

enjoying the taste I swallowed it all, loving the sudden rush of energy that I got every time, Thinking that my sudden adoration for this

bakery probably has something to do with the fact

that I haven’t eaten anything in three days.

« Do you like it» Jason sing-sang

I looked up at him smiling while nodding my head.

Chuckling, Jason took his last bite and headed for the counter.

Getting up leaving an empty plate I walked up to Jason.

« What are you doing? » I asked curiously

« Buying a whole cake to bring back at the house » he simply answered as if it was nothing.

I smiled at his sudden kind thoughts

« Thank you Jason» I said searching for his eyes

Meeting my gaze, we stared in each others eyes for what seemed hours, no words can explain this tingling feeling I felt, it was as if we were alone in the room, he wasn’t a criminal to me anymore, nor was I certain that he was just a friend…there was something more there, I brushed the feeling off telling myself I didn’t have time for love and I’m pretty sure neither did he.

« Uh you’re uh- welcome» he stuttered and looked away.

I looked down again fidgeting with my fingers.
