"Good morning Pierre!" Tyler bellowed to the knight that was guarding his bedroom door, "what's on today's schedule?"

"You have equestrian training at noon, then lunch. Afterwards you have to join the king in the throne room to help punish those who have broken the law here in Luxaria. Until then you can relax and do whatever, I'll come get you when it is time my prince." Pierre replied.

Tyler groaned and rolled his eyes so far back he was surprised he didn't see his brain. He did not want to sit through his father yelling at criminals and sending them either to the guillotine or the chambers. It was tedious, boring and he'd much rather do other things like play the grand piano in his music room, or continue reading Hamlet in the library. He'd only just gotten to Scene 2 of Act 4 in it.

"Is there any chance I could get out of joining my father in the throne room?" He asked with pleading eyes."

"I'm sorry your royalty, but it was my orders to make sure you are there. The king needs you to learn how to punish people because some day this entire kingdom will be in the palm of your ha-"

"Blah, blah, blah, I know the whole speech about how I'm the next in line and need to be ready to protect and rule the kingdom but as of right now, I could care less Pierre. Please try to get me out of it." Tyler interrupted.

"But your Royalty, I don't think your father would approve, and he can make you go assist in cleaning the chambers again if you don't attend."
The knight said with sincere eyes.

He understood why Tyler didn't want to do it. He knew how Tyler felt about his responsibilities. He knew that the prince feared he wouldn't live up to his fathers expectations and wished sometimes he could pass the lineage of the kingdom onto his younger brother, Zach.

Tyler gave Pierre a nod with his head and closed his bedroom, striding back into the middle of his bedroom. He'd do anything to avoid cleaning the chambers. He remembers he had to do it last time because he snuck out of the castle in the middle of the night to go into the forest. He stood there for a second lost in his thoughts before he blinked out of it and continued towards his bathroom. He took one step into the room and stopped dead in his tracks when he looked in the mirror.

All he could seem to notice was the mess of hair on his head, the dark bags under his eyes, the thin frame of his body, nowhere near the proper build of a decent knight or better yet, the king of Luxaria. There was no way a whole monarchy would want him as a king.

Feeling dissatisfied with himself, he jumped into the shower and turned the water on freezing cold. He did this every morning to awaken every muscle and nerve in his body. He did this to make him feel fully alive, even if it's for a few seconds. After that he quickly changed it to a comfortable temperature and continue on with his shower.

Once out of the shower, he got dressed for the day and headed out to the courtyard, doing it all with leisure. He decided to sit down on his favorite bench, which he claimed as his when he was 5, due to the fact that it was the only bench in the whole courtyard that had a different design from the others. He liked how it stood out from the rest, kind of like him.

He laid down completely onto the bench and slung one arm onto his face to shield his eyes as he closed them. Before he knew it he was slowly being pulled into a slumber that was bound to ruin Pierre's perfect schedule but he didn't care. If he slept through everything planned, including being with his father...well let's just say Tyler would be far from disappointed.

"Tyler Robert Joseph!"

He quickly shot up before slumping down some, being overwhelmed with a head rush. Once it passed he looked to where the voice came from and saw his mother standing by the water fountain, looking at him with laser sharp eyes.
