Was it you or I,
That pulled the trigger on we?
I bought the gun
But you brought the rounds
Was it murder or suicide
That parted our way
Birthing fate unduly?
Am I to blame,
Or is this your shame?
I thought we'd last
The torment of distance
But the odds tilted fast
Snatching you from my feeble hands
Leaving us to scream and swim
In our imminent demise
