Aless's POV

Master? Who exactly was she? Why was Stefano worried so much about her? I watch as she gets up and leaves. I'm surprised she can still stand ... much less walk. Just how much pain can she take? A normal person would be on the floor wincing in excruciating pain. Yet she still has that look in her eyes of wanting to kill me. Just what kind of monster is she?

If it weren't for the fact that she faced so many opponents before facing me ... she would've probably won. She would've beat me. Luckily, her opponents slowly drained her enough, so she couldn't properly face me. She really is a monster.

"You come with me". I follow Stefano De Gianni, and his 2 bodyguards to a private room. We arrive at a study and he sits behind the desk. I sit in front of him. "What's your name?". "Alessandro Romano". Then a file is brought in front of him. He reads it. "So you're the boy my old friend Angelo sent?". "Yes".

"Tell me boy, of your connection with Angelo. I've read your file and it says here that you're Angelo's son. As far as I know he has no children". The nerve of this man I swear.

"Angelo adopted me. Since I was 15 he has trained in various styles of fighting, I continued school till I was 18 and joined the agency. Since then I've been a bodyguard".

He continued reading the file. He probably saw... "It says here you are 24 isn't that a little too young to be in this business? Tell me boy, why should I trust you with the lives of de Gianni?". He's underestimating me. "As I said before I've been trained in MMA (mixed martial arts). With all due respect I am more then capable of protecting you".

He smiled. "I know. Angelo wouldn't send just anyone to me. I just wanted to see what kind of man you are. I like a man who isn't intimidated by a Gianni". I was not easily intimidated. "Kane what do you think?".

One of his bodyguards then came forward. "I think he is a great choice sir, it's the first time I've seen Ms. Ciel beaten. I think he is capable. It's the first time I've seen Ms. Ciel fight using Krav Maga. He pushed her to her limits and forced her to use such techniques". So I wasn't imagining what I saw. She really was fighting with Krav Maga. The same style I use. She's the second person I've met other then Angelo who knows how to use it.

Krav Maga is a form of fighting meant to kill your opponent. It was developed as a military style of combat by the Israel defense forces. It uses various styles of fighting. It's hard to learn. Stefano nods, "Very well then, let's get on to the reason you're here". Isn't it obvious? He needs a bodyguard?

As if he was reading his mind he answered, "It's not I who needs a bodyguard. It's for my granddaughter Ciel. The girl you just fought is my insolent grandchild". Granddaughter? That girl is his granddaughter? Of course it all makes sense. The way she talked back to him, and why he was worried about her. Why didn't she say who she was?

He motions his guard and he brings a file. "This was sent to me a few weeks ago. The reason you're here is because I need you to protect my granddaughter Ciel". I open the folder and there is a picture of her with a target along with other pictures of her being followed around. "Why would she be targeted?" I ask. The old man sighs.

"Because she is the only hope I have left as an heir. I lost my beloved son almost 12 years ago. I have another son, but he will never do. My associates will only follow a true De Gianni. All I have left as heirs are my 3 grandchildren. Out of the 3 Ciel is the most capable. Soon I will appoint her to take over for me. I'm getting old. That's why the burden of being the CEO of Gianni Enterprises has fallen on Ciel's shoulders".
