He was saying a lot of confusing things, I could speak English well because I was home schooled by my mama but in situations like this my brain tends to betray me alot,
Without his permission I pulled out the chair beside me and took a very comfortable sit before looking at him again,
*I don't understand what you mean sir*I said
*I want you to be my son's girlfriend publicly, I don't have any more time in this business and I want him to be seen as strong replacement* he said
I was very flattered but knowing the things I've seen, I wasn't sure I wanted to but from the look of things that decision wasn't mine to make,
*do I have a choice??I asked,
His silence told me he must have spoken to my mama and she agreed already, I just nodded my head
*I'll give you time to think about it but don't take too long*he said
I didnt have a choice but I was given time to think about it,
What was happening to my life?
I thought shutting the door to the study behind, it was not a good idea at all I could barely survive as a maid, I'd die as his fake girlfriend,
I walked into my room hoping this night was not going to be annoyingly long but I knew that wasn't happening.
I woke up the next morning to the thought of the discussion of the previous night, I sat on my bed thinking of several ways I could console myself,
I had to get something out of this terrible situation I found myself in, I sat there for a while before it occurred to me what I had to ask,
I got up and walked straight to his study room, I knocked on the door and he answered, i didnt think he would be there this early but what do you know,
I opened the door and walked in,
*good morning sir*
*you've made a decision already*he said
*I think a decision has been made on my behalf already but if I'm going to be your son's girlfriend I need something in return*I said
He stopped what he was doing and looked up at me,
*what is that?*he asked
*it has to be between us, my mama must know nothing of it*I said
*okay*he replied.
*where is alicia?*Maria said yelling out the name of her daughter,
*alicia!!!*she yelled
*yes mama*alicia replied coming from the direction of the study,
*what were you doing there this early*she said referring to the study,
*act like you don't know*I said wanting to test her,
Mama always denies her involvement in any thing,
*what are you talking about?*she asked like she had no Idea what I was talking about,
*I'm Morris's new girlfriend*I said looking to see her expression,
*oh......I didnt know you two had a thing and you always seem to complain about him, I really should have suspected*she said, if you didnt know my mama you'll think she had no idea of what I was talking about,
*keep acting like you know nothing of what I'm talking about, it alway seems to help you alot*I said walking away,
*but I really have no idea what you're talking about*she yelled behind me as I walked away,
*keep saying it till you yourself believe in it*I yelled back,
*and where are you going to, there is alot of work to be done this morning*she yelled,
*didnt you hear me the first time, I'm Morris's new girlfriend that includes the privileges that go along with it*I yelled back before walking Into my room.
*take her out and buy her clothes, couples do that*lugard said looking at Morris,
*we are not a couple and i do not like the idea of her being my girlfriend, I told to give me time that I'll find one on my own*morris replied,
*I gave you all the time I could, you treat that girl right and get on with it*lugard said.
