The very next day, Alissa woke up in her room in her father's palace, atop Mount Olympus, which was located at the top of the Empire State Building. She groaned quietly as the light poured into her room through the window her mother had opened. "Mom you know sunlight is my enemy..." she groaned. Her mother, the Goddess Hera, turned after opening another window, and spoke. "Yes I understand that, but you need to be up today. You, William, and Amber have a program to teach today at camp." she said. Alissa groaned even louder as she flopped back onto her bed. "Ugh don't remind me..." she said, not wanting to go to camp today. "I'm sorry honey, but you promised Chiron you would do it. And I think William wants you to come, because he was here earlier to see if you were up yet. I don't blame him. I'd hate to be forced to teach by myself along side Amber." she shudders. Alissa sat up again. "William was here? Why didn't you tell me!" she yelled as she jumped out of bed. She quickly got dressed and ran out the door of the palace, to the elevator that would take her to the ground level of the Empire State Building, quickly ran outside and hopped into her truck, before driving off toward Long Island Sound, where Camp Halfblood was located. She parked, getting out and seeing William's motorcycle parked next to Amanda's van. "For the God of Nature, he sure does ride the least environmentally friendly vehicle ever next to Amber," she said as she dashed inside the camp barrier, and straight to the Big House, where Chiron waited on the porch with William and Amber. "Alissa, you made it." William said, before being pushed aside by Amber. "HI BEST FRIEND!" Amber said before practically knocking Alissa over with a hug. "Sorry I'm late Chiron, I forgot we were doing this today." she peeled herself away from Amber and approached the centaur. "It's alright, Alissa. All that matters is that you showed up." Chiron said, smiling warmly at her. "Now then, the campers are waiting for you three in the battle hall. Head over there now, and get them ready." Chiron said, waving the kids away. The three of them headed towards the battle hall, and stopped outside the doors. "Ready?" William asked them. "Always." Alissa said, before Amber shouted, "HELL YEAH!" and pushed open the doors. Today was going to be interesting.
