It had been around 18 months that we have all been in this bunker. And nobody was coming to help us, everyone was becoming discouraged, some even wanted to take their chances outside. I never spoke up on it other then a couple of times but, I wasn't sure myself of what to do. We cut back on half a vitamin cube a day and other resources were getting tight. It was frightening to say the least.

ight now I was in the common room, alone. As I stared into the fireplace I suddendly started to feel everything go dark...

Then I could see myself walking in a school hallway.

I was younger, about 17 years old. I walked down the hallway of a highschool, cliques were gossiping, laughing, disscusing weekend party plans, nothing I was apart of. It seemed like I was someone who didn't really have friends, or at least not a lot. I hummed the song I was humming some rock song quietly as I entered the library, signing in the log book before going all the way to the back where the thriller and fiction books were. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard people whispering. "So how do we feel about the new girl?" She paused, waiting for her companions to responde. I simply stayed quiet and out of sight to eavesdrop. "She's kinda wierd, she doesn't talk to anyone... Didn't Ms. Clove say something about her parents dying?" She asked. "Yeah, maybe that's why she seems kinda fucked." One of her friends stated. The girls giggled for a second before the main on sighed "I bet she's something at home... She doesn't talk here so she must blow a fuse at home right?" I could feel my blood boiling. I was livid, but I also wanted to cry. Nobody bothered to even talk to me, so what gave them the right to start assuming things about my life? That's when I walked around the bookshelf and starred the girls down. Two of them walked off no problem, expect for one. "I must be right.." She muttered. In reaction I grabbed her by her hair and threw her up against the wall. Then a fight broke out. Both of us werd pulled away from eachother by a teacher, and we would have a few bruises in the morning and some scratches.

Then I was back in the common room.

I bit at the loose skin on my lip as I slowly gained back my sense of reality. This had to be a memory, right? I wasn't too sure but it felt so real. Sometimes I wished someone with a psychology degree had made it in here, maybe they could help make sense of these things. I felt like I was out of place to be here, I remember being told it was because of my genetics as men in suits had brought me here as the sirens went off, but I had never been told anything about my genetics before. They said it was due to having my blood sample from a bloodtest. First time I heard of it but I was sure I wasn't here due to being rich like Coco. I had lived in a small apartment before the apocalypse, working in a small book shop. I chuckled quietly 'suprised I didn't forget that already' I thought to myself as I got up from the couch, wanting to go read at the though of my workplace.

Later that evening, during dinner, Venable announced that we would be only be having one meal a day, to preserve the small amount of cubes we had. Which caused Gallant to explode in fustration, throwing his plate across the room, yelling at Dinah for trying to keep the peace and encourage the others. That only resulted in Gallant threatening to stab a fork in her neck. Then he started to storm off, asking Venable if she would shoot us all if we disobeyed. I couldn't help but think back of what happened to Stu, who had been killed for "radiation contamination". As I continued to think back of what happened the next day during that dinner, my stomach ached and I stopped.

Suddendly, the alarms went off in the bunker and the loud ringing pierced my ears and the emergency lights flashed red. Everyone looked around frantically, unsure as to what was going on. Ms Venable was quick to awnser that "There's been a breach in the gates. Everybody get to your quarters until you are told to come out..." She stated before hitting her cane on the hard floor. Everyone got up and left to do as she said.
