A couple days had passed, and things were becoming stranger after Michael Langdon had arrived. Finding black snakes had become a common thing in the outpost, the blonde had found one in her dresser and seen a few in the library. They were all quickly exterminated. Though, the one thing nobody expected was for Nana Gallant to pass away. With no prior issues with her health, it was rather surprising for everyone. Things took a turn for her grandson, who clamied he was responsible for this incident. The poor soul was in a state of confusion, confessing that he thought he murdered his Nana, when the individuals in charge such as Langdon, went on to say that the older women passed in her sleep peacefully and without any bloodshed from her grandson holding a pair of bloody scissors. Heather couldn't help but try to comfort Gallant as she had found him in the library, sobbing with a copy of Mice and Men in his hands.
Heather approached the ash blonde calmly "...Hey Gallant....How are you holding up?" She asked with a soft tone. The male sniffled as he ran his hands down his face, he looked like he hadn't slept in days, which he did not. "...How do you think?" He awnsered without a sarcastic tone, his tone was quiet, much like a child after thinking they saw something in the dark corners of their room, he was far too upset for his usual charm and sarcasm. "I know what I did...I killed her, but everyone keeps saying I didn't. I think I'm starting to lose my mind." He said quietly, not wanting anybody else to hear him. Especially nobody else from the cooperative. "There's no way it could have been ber in that stupid rubber suit! Something wasnt right..." He whimpered to himself. Heather only felt her heart sink for the man.
Heather gave a saddened half smile "I don't think you're going crazy...I think what you need is for everyone else to stop telling you what happened and figure it out yourself, and if you did kill her, what caused you to lash out? Then you can find closure in that at least. Figure out the situation so everything stops flying in every direction." The young woman said. She never spoke to Gallant much, but she could feel the pain he was in, the greif, the confusion, everything. She was all too familiar with that feeling of guilt, thinking that you may have been at fault for the harm of others. Much like her parent's deaths, if only Heather hadn't asked to be picked up from school that day then maybe they would still be alive.
"...Why do you even want to help? We don't ever talk." The stylist asked, his puffy, tear filled eyes gazing to her clear bright blue ones. Heather could only shrugged "Because you're in pain, and know where you're coming from..." She paused, she never told anyone of the people in the outpost about her family situation. However Gallant needed to be comforted and if this was what she had to do to help then so be it. "My parents died in a car accident on their way to pick me up from school only because I didn't want to walk that day... I blamed myself for a very long time, and I still wonder what would happen if I just sucked it up walked for 20 minutes." She said, once again flashing a smile that showed empathy, what she said was true, but her words felt a bit empty in a way she couldn't explain, as if she was talking about the wrong situation. "Just try to stay with Coco and Mallory, you talk to them often, it'll keep you busy. Try not to be alone for long periods of time but don't over socialize to the point of feeling drained either, okay?" She suggested. That was the best advise she could give. She wasn't sure how she managed to stay hopeful after the accident, she found most of her help in therapy and it was a very small amount of help, as she hated talking about her issues. Gallant sighed and ran a hand through his hair "...I'll try. Thanks Gracia." He said, standing up. "I'm gonna go find Coco and Mallory like you said." Said the ash blonde before leaving the library.
