Chapter 3: Piercing Blue Eyes

It didn't take very long for people to know whoever had breached the gates was now inside the outpost. None of the people in charge were saying anything, nor did anyone who liked gossiping have any idea. It wasnt until someone knocked on my bedroom door, I stood up from my bed amd went to open the door. It was Mallory  "...Ms. Venable would like to see everyone. I think it might be about the person who's came in the other day." she said quietly. I nodded and followed her down the hall. I always felt bad for her, she seemed rather nice and sweet but Coco treated her like garbage, she didn't deserve it. I gave a small smile to the girl as we found our way to the the lounge.

Everyone else was there already, and now we waited for the person of the hour to arrive. I didn't sit on the couch like the others, I chose to stay behind and lean again the wall. Shortly, we all heard a familiar tapping of a cane, Ms. Venable walked in the room with a man with long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes next to her, she stood back as if she was intimidated and he placed himself in the front of the room to have everyone's attention. He glanced around as if he was studying everyone, but when his eyes landed on me, he stopped. The intimidating expression on his face seemed to fade, but when he realised what he was doing, he looked away and held his hands behind his back.

His stare felt like he was looking into my soul and in my thoughts.

I couldnt help but feel like I recognized him but I had never seen him in my entire life.

"My name is Langdon, and I represent the Cooperative. I won't sugar coat the situation. Humanity is indeed on the brink failure." His words make everyone glance at one another, it made me feel sick, knowing truly that everything was gone. "...All the other outposts have been overun." "What happened to the people inside?" Andre asked. "Massacared." Said the light haired man. " However there is hope for you, there is a shelter that was given the security messures to prevent a overrun, The Sanctuary." Ms. Mead furrowed her brow "What messures? And why we're we not given them?" She asked. Langdon raised his hand "That is classified.." He paused. "I will be interviewing each of you in hopes of finding few who will be brought to The Sanctuary.." "And those who don't make the cut? What happens?" Gallant asked. Langdon wore a subtle smirk as he held up a vial of pills "You will stay here and when the danger comes knocking, down one of these...You will simply fall asleep and never wake up." Gallant seemed a bit shocked..Everyone did, expect Coco who looked pissed. "This is bullshit! I paid to be here..And that is the only cooperating I plan on doing!" She stated angerly. "Then you will be left to die here." He stated simply, which quickly made Cooc swallow her words. "I can take all of you or none of you, it all depends if I find what I am looking for." "I volenteer to go first for the interview." Stated Gallant. Mr. Langdon looked at him with a smirk "Normally I would agree, but I have my own plans of who to interview and when.. The process should only take me a couple of days" He paused, turning to look at me "...I think she should go first." Once again his expression seemed to change when he looked at me.

I froze, not sure how to react or respond.

Hey everyone! I know this chapter is rather short, I just wanted to keep the iterview as it's own chapter cause it's gonna be a bit of a long one.
Also, I apologoze if some of the quotes by characters are either not exact or are not included at all, I didn't find it realistic for my schedual to be going back to the show and writing word for word. I would have been spending a whole week or so on chapters.

I know quality matters but I also don't want you all to get bored quickly when the chapters don't come in quick enough.
