Michael had been a bit worried of how the guest would react over his and Ms. Mead's version of dinner prayer, but to his suprise she didn't seem to care, and even put her hands together out of respect. Most people would have raised a brow or would have just sate their awkwardly, unsure if the he and his guardian were serious about praising the Dark Lord. Heather was definatly an interesting individual, she was different. In more ways then being an open minded person. He would have to figure it out the more he spent time with her... If he spend more time with her.
Heather wasn't scared by many things, her mother had always tought her to be kind to others dispite their differences. She had carried that with her forever, or at least she tried. As long as they were good and respectful people she could care less of what Michael and Ms. Mead believed in. "So what got you and your aunt to move here?" Mead asked the blonde girl. Heather paused for a moment before speaking. "We used to live in Arizona, but my aunt's a doctor and got transfer to a different hospital a month ago." She said. That part was true, but Heather didn't want to mention the fact that a big reason why they moved was because Heather was being difficult at her old school. Worse then what she had been already. She used to argue with her teachers at least once a day, she would skip class, argue with her aunt, etc. That was only to name a few. Long story short, her aunt thought a new start for both of them would do some good. Before anyone could reapond, Heather's phone had went off. When she checked the notification it had been a text message from her aunt.
Auntie Olivia:
Where the hell are you? Come home. Now! W
e need to talk.
Heathers aunt seemed to be home early, and she was not happy with Heather's absence. "...Hey, Ive gotta go. My aunt's home early and she's not exactly happy with me right now..." The girl felt bad that she wasnt able to finish her food, wasting what had taken Mead an hour to make. However ahe knew she couldn't stay or her aunt would be even more mad. Mead simply shook her head "We understand, good luck with her." She said, being nice since she could tell the teen felt guilty for interrupting dinner.
"I'll walk you home." Michael said, he had finished his plate already so he didn't mind. When he saw that Heather about to protest he spoke again. "I'll just tell her you were here so she doesn't think you were running around town." He explained as he got upfrom the table and grabbed his plate and Heather's to go put them in the sink. Leaving Heather alone with Mead for a moment.
"Thank you for letting me stay for a bit, I'll hope to repay the favor." She said with a kind smile. The dark haired chuckled "It's not a problem, and it's nice to see Michael speak with someone his age. Being homeschooled blocks him from speaking to other kids." There was also the factor that Michael was very different from other kids. However that was left out of the short conversation the two had. Miriam would usually be unsure of Michael hanging out with other kids, knowing his life mission. But hearing him laugh and have a actual 'normal' conversation gave her joy. Knowing that his young childhood wasn't the easiest.
Soon enough the two blondes were walking up the street in the direction of Heather's home. The girl was able to feel her aunts fuming anger and dissapointment from about 14 houses down. "How long are you suspended again? The rest of the week right?" Michael asked, he wondered if there was a chance to make a friend. He would usually oppose but something was very different about her. The young woman in the dark jacket nodded "Yup. It's an out of school suspention too." And of course she had to go and cause trouble before a test she had Thursday. And it was only Wednesday. Heather pulled up her back pack over her shoulder. "Well, if you think you'll be bored easily then I don't mind checking in every now and then." He offered with a slight chuckle. Heather was a bit suprised but she was glad and knew that would wpuld indeed be bored after a little while of just watching tv and reading. As much as she loved those two things. The troublemaker teenager simply nodded with a raised brow "Well just make sure her car is gone before knocking on the door." She said. It would definatly make the days go by faster. As much as she hated school, the drama that she would eavesdrop on passed the time rather well. Before the two knew it theu were infront of Heather's drive way, her aunt already sitting on the porch, waiting for her. "...I'll see ya later, Michael. Can you thank Mead for letting me stay over again?" She said before walking up the porch quickly. Seeing the expression on Olivia's face as she looked at Michael with a raised eyebrow. The boy knew to just leave now. And so he did, he turned around amd walked all the way home. He wore a small smile, things wouldn't be so boring anymore after all. Though as he walked he could hear the faint arguing between the niece and aunt.
"Heather you need to get your act together, this is getting ridiculous. We just moved here and people already are going to assume the worst off you. I know you're upset, angry at everything and everyone. But it's no way to behave nor can you use it as an excuse-!" He heard the slightly raspier voice of Heather's aunt exclaim. Her tone very irritated and upset. "Save your passive agressive pitty speech! Okay auntie? I get it! I'm grounded, you are disappointed, pissed off and I'm forced to say sorry to the loud mouth. Cause it's always me right?" Heather said coldly before simply walking into the house. All Michael heard before pure silence was the front door s
lamming shut.

Michael now returned to the reality of Outpost 3, he wasn't sure how long he had been trailing off into his memories. Not realising that the book he had been reading was now on the ground, face down. It felt a bit odd, going back to such a memory, knowing that the person he was thinking of was near by. Yet she had no recollection of it. That night was the start of something wonderful, a great friendship. Now the two were simply strangers again. "...You've finally returned to earth I see." Heather's voice spoke in a quiet, playful tone. The young man looked over to the right, where he saw Heather leaning against the wall, burried in a book.
