I don't really like the way this turned out, but I'll post it.
In case any of you are wondering, I write this as I go, I don't have any planned out as I finish this chapter, but I am kinda proud of it. I don't ever go back to edit it, and I use a 8 year old phone so that's why it might not turn out the best.
I'm not going to make it where Blue Steve gets his memories back at the very end, but I'm also not going to make within two more chapters.
Also, Snow_color made a guess about what happens, and she wasn't far off!
~Rainbow Steve's POV~
As we get to the top of the stairs Blue Steve looks around the room. "Woah...." He whispers softly as he looks at the small room with so much detail. It's wall to wall with books on how to be a elder Blue Steve, things about the Steve's, and even about the things elders did to prepare to make the prophecy.
The prophecy about me, the ultimate being
He slowly walks around, still wearing my shirt that is a bit too small on him. His fingers go over the books spine, showing all the names of the books, in the secret Steve language that Sabre wouldn't understand. (Like the backwards words and stuff)
I look at them as well, my eyes catching 'stcafitra eht tuoba' "About the Artifacts?" I mutter softly before pulling the book off the shelf and opening it up. The book tells about all the powers that each colored artifacts has, as well as the dangers that would come if Nightmare Steve got ahold of them.
"Blue Steve, can I take this book?" I ask while looking over at him. He just looks at me with confusion plastered across his face. "Sure?" He says, more of a question than an answer. I'm guessing he doesn't remember that this is his house. I hand the book to Sabre, and he puts it in his bag.
The artifact is still in my hands, and I am not putting it down. Blue Steve keeps looking at the books. "Whoever owns this library must've been obsessed with being a elder." He says and Sabre looks confused. It's saddening that Blue Steve doesn't remember, but one day he will remember again. I just know it.
"Yeah... They were.. That was their main goal, from before I even met them.." I say softy and Sabre puts his hands on my bare shoulder. The feeling startles me at first, but I get used to it. "You ready to go Blue Steve?" I ask and he nods. He takes a few of the books, refusing to let me or Sabre carry it.
We walk down the stairs, with me leading the way. I take slow steps, wincing with each step. "Are you okay Rainbow Steve?" Sabre asks me as I keep walking. I wave it off.
"I'm fine." I lie. Who would want to be taken care of the entire time? I sure don't.
As we get to the bottom we start walking, goosebumps covering my skin as the cool wind nips at my bare flesh. It doesn't take long for us to get back along the edges of the snow biome, and I am thankful for having the sun beating down on us through the trees. But that doesn't last long as the woods keep getting darker and darker.
Blue Steve and Sabre walk behind me, but I feel like I'm being watched. That's when I see the faded, yellow flash going by again. It's closer than last time, and I get a slight glimpse of it.
"What was that?" Blue Steve asks while backing up towards a tree. "I don't know.." I say and Sabre just looks at me like I'm crazy. "What are you talking about? I didn't see anything!" That's when the flash of yellow slows down, and I see a Yellow Steve.
"Rainbow Steve! Blue Steve! I finally found you!" The Yellow Steve says and at first I'm confused. But that's when the memory hits me. "Yellow Steve.. Aren't you the one who left with Blue Steve?" I ask and then he nods. He's changed a lot; he's not as energetic as he was before, and now his face is more broad. The one I met before seemed to just be a child, while now he seems as if it's been like 10 years since I saw him!
"Nightmare Steve got ahold of me, but recently my spirit has been set free to do whatever I want!" He says. An image of Ghost Steve flashes in my mind, and that's the exact same way that Yellow Steve looks; other than the fact he's yellow.
Blue Steve looks scared, and then there is Sabre who is just all confused. "What the heck is going on?!" He asks. Does he not see Yellow Steve?
"I see you have a player with you. Those are some mysterious creatures. They don't understand our languages, and they don't even understand us when we talk to them." Yellow Steve says as he looks at Sabre.
"Sabre can understand me and Blue Steve though, why can't he understand you?" I say as I take a step forward, closer to Yellow Steve.
"He can understand you two? That's strange.. There's only been one documented player that's been able to do that. Maybe he's related to them? I'm not really sure." I look at Sabre, my best friend; then at Blue Steve, my best friend that I just got my memories back of. "I just realized something. Why is Blue Steve wearing your shirt, and why is there bandages wrapped all the way around you?" Yellow Steve asks while looking at my chest.
I just happened to raise my bottle to my lips and take a sip of my water right then, and I spit it out. The water goes through Yellow Steve, proving to me that he isn't actually alive. I honestly forgot that Blue Steve has my shirt. How could I forget?
"Well.. Me and Sabre," I gesture towards Sabre before continuing. "Were in a battle with a evil Steve, Memory Steve, and I got this." I gesture towards the bandages around me. Yellow Steve nods and I continue. "Blue Steve is wearing my shirt because he got cold earlier and I was fine; and I just never got it back yet." I said and I see Blue Steve blush slightly. It's hard to see but I still notice it. He then takes it off, and holds it out for me to put back on.
I silently nod and then put on the shirt. "Ah, I see." Yellow Steve says and then nods. "Also, a while back, before I actually.." He pauses and I nod. I know what he's about to say, and I'm not going to make him day it. "I see you have the blue artifact. Are you going to be searching for the others once again?" He asks and i just look at him shocked.
"Yes actually! Do you have any idea where any of them are?" I ask and then look back at Blue Steve. He smiles faintly, and then gives me a thumbs up.
"Yes I do, how about we all go check it out? Follow me." Yellow Steve says and then I nod.
"Sabre, Blue Steve! Come on, we might have a lead on where a artifact is!" I say and then we all start walking. Yellow Steve runs off, and I have to shout at him to get him to slow down.
"Yellow Steve! Wait up!" I say and then he turns around and comes back.
"Wait, a Yellow Steve?" Sabre asks.
"Yep! Now let's go!" I say and then we all take off.
~~~
Sorry if this chapter is a bit confusing and short; I was trying to make it based off of what I know from origins and Steve Saga, and combine them together.
The basis of what I am going for with Yellow Steve is that back a while back with Positive and Negative Steve; Rainbow Steve saw them before anyone else did.
Then the Sabre part with the "him maybe being related to the player who understood the Steve Language" will be explained more later. But to summarize it without spoiling it, back a while back (That makes sense, obviously) there was a player, and they actually understood the Steve's Language. But because Sabre isn't actually him and might just a family member from a while back, he doesn't have all of those rare abilities.
Does this clear up any of the confusion?
