Platform 9 3/4 awaited the girls. It was time for them to board their train to Hogwarts. They would be going into their 6th year there. So many things had happened in the last two years, and the girls hoped that this year would be different. So far the girls had just managed to not get themelves killed. They were definitely hoping for a better year. They boarded the train and sat in their usual compartment. Aria and Christina were alone in their compartment. Aria stared back at Christina.
"Where's Draco at?"
"He got called out half way through the summer break. He sent an owl and he will be getting to Hogwarts a couple days after we do."
"Where's he at?"
"Since when did you become interested in Draco?"
"I was just wondering. If you didn't notice, every year that we've been at Hogwarts, something bad has happened to us. With Draco missing it might be a bad sign."
"Aria if we don't have trust what do we have?"
"Wow that sounds like some cheap line from a book."
"Yep. It is. I don't care. Bottom line is, Draco was just called out for some stuff that Lucius needed to be with him for. It must have been something about his like initiation into being a 'principle' deatheater."
"Ok then," Aria said as she bit into a pumpkin pasty.
The door to the compartment slid open and in walked Neville Longbottom.
"Is this seat taken?" he asked nervously as he looked down at the seat next to Christina.
"No. It's fine. Go ahead and sit." said Aria.
"Can't you find a different compartment?" asked Christina with a mean tone.
"I...I...ummmmm." Neville babbled.
"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
"Christina that's enough. Just let him sit here."
"You know Aria, I'd love to but I think Neville needs to go find his toad."
Neville checked his jacket pocket and found that it was empty.
"Trevor!" he screamed as he ran throughout the train in search of his lost toad.
"Aria you can't just let anyone sit with us."
"Why not? What's the big deal? We aren't royalty."
"But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be treated like it." said Christina with a smile and quiet laugh.
Aria and Christina didn't talk most of the ride to Hogwarts. They hadn't had very successful summers. There wasn't much to talk about, so they didn't. It was completely silent in their compartment for a while. That is, until Ron and Hermione showed up.
"Hello. Is this seat taken?" they each said at the same time.
"No its fine. Go ahead and sit. Even nobodies should get to sit the compartment of their choice right Aria?"
"Christina!" she shouted slightly.
Ron and Hermione both sat down next to Christina and Aria and they looked back at each other awkwardly. All remained as silent as it was only moments ago until a certain farmiliar creature slithered up to his owner.
"Azazel. Good boy," she hissed at her large black snake.
Ron's face turned completely white and he pushed himself to the corner of the compartment. His expression was a true sign that he was scared out of his mind and he was worried as he didn't know what Christina could be telling her snake.
"I'm sorry Weasley, does Azazel... intimidate you?" she said in a whisper.
She hissed at her snake once again and it began to slither in Ron's direction.
"Do you... fear snakes? You need not worry, he only attacks on my command. However, I find the venom... calming." she whispered again.
Azazel climbed up Ron's chest and had it's face level with Ron's when Ron pushed him off and ran screaming from the compartment with Hermione close behind him. She shot Christina a slight scowl and pushed the door shut.
The castle came into view and Christina and Aria began to gather their things. The train stopped and the girls jolted forward a few inches. There it stood. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Nothing bad had happened yet but then again they had the rest of 6th year to make that change.
