(Matt's P.O.V)

I was driving around in Calgary, on a two week break from touring. I was so happy to finally be back in this city. Seriously, it was such a relief to be off work, and being able to relax. The only problem was...

"Matt! Are we almost there?"

...The nuisance. The lead singer of my band. Josh.

"Yeah, I think we're about five minutes away. Just be patient you iguana."

"So who is this friend of yours? You haven't really told me much about her. How old is she? Where is she from? When's her....birthday?" I looked over at him weird.

"Her birthday?"

"It was the only thing I could think of. Anyways, do tell."

"Uhh, she's 25, she's from Vancouver, and her birthday is February 22nd. Oh, and I forgot to tell you her name is Brooke."

"Huh. Okay, well, why are we staying at her place again?"

"Because we're touring soon, and this is our first place. Also, we don't know for sure if we're staying there. She could say that she's doesn't want us or something."

"Please, everybody want's us." I raised an eyebrow.

"Cocky are we?" He smiled.

"Very."

"Well, we'll see about that. This is her place here," I said as I parked alongside the street in front of one of her cars which was a 2012 BMW convertible.

"Nice place," Josh said while looking at it and taking off his seatbelt.

"Yeah, she makes good money, now let's go."

"Hold on, I'm finishing this tweet," He said while typing away on his Blackberry. His eyes were glued to the screen and I just stared at him, then smacked the phone out of ihs hands.

"Ah, you fucker!" He yelled. "Really? It now just fell into the depths of in between the seat and the arm rest thingy. Great, now it's going to take me an hour to get this out of here." I laughed at him as he stuck his arm down into the hole.

"While you do that, I'm going to go ask if we can stay there," I said and got out of the car. I wallked up the steps, walked down the long pathway, and up more steps to her door. I knew she had to be home because both her cars were here. It just seemed a little quiet to me.

I just decided to brush it off my shoulder and ring the doorbell.

(Brooke's P.O.V) ~5 minutes earlier~

I sat sideways in my big, leather armchair being the most bored person on earth. There was absolutely nothing to do today, so I surrendered to just staying home, reading a magazine, and chewing my bubblegum which had already lost it's taste, but I was too lazy to get a new piece. Why did I, Brooklyn Rae Matthews have to be bored on a Friday afternoon. What's worse is that I'm 25 and single. I mean, it's not like I'm un-attractive. I have hip-length, thick, wavy brunette hair, and a small, toned body. I have green eyes and full red lips. I may be a little pale, but I just don't get out in the sun much.  Okay, I'm thinking too much. Maybe I should just go upstairs and take another nap. Yeah, sounds good.

I got up slowly and dragged myself upstairs. I walked down the long hall and took a turn to the left into my room. I changed into my yellow sweatpants, and my pink belly shirt which showed my hip and belly piercing. I turned around and smiled as I saw my big giant cloud of a bed and ran and jumped on it. I was seriously the most comfortable person on the earth right now.

But...of course as fate has it, I heard the doorbell ring as soon as I got comfortable.

"Go away," I said with my voice muffled by my pillow. Ugh, why does this always happen to me?

I really debated not answering it, but I knew I had to. It would bother me too much to not know who it is.

I got up slowly, and went down the stairs. I was confused, because I shouldn't have any visitors today. Cautiously, I walked to the door, and opened it. To my surprise it was my old friend Matt.

"Hey Brooke, how are you?" I gave him a hug.

"Good, but, what are you doing here?" I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Oh, just thought I would come for a visit." He was acting weird. He always looks around nervously when he's lying, and sticks his hands in his pockets. Guess what he was doing.

"Matt, why did you really come here?" I questioned.

"Well, can my friend and I stay for a while?"

"Of course, you could've just asked. But, you have to tell me who this friend of yours is."

"Um, his name is Josh. He's finding his phone, because he dropped it in the car. I swear him and that thing are attached at the...well phones don't really have hips, so let's just say he really likes it."

"Okay, well, when will he get here?"

"Oh, he's coming back now. Josh! Hurry up!" As I saw him come through the door, I went over to greet him, then realized who he was. I think he noticed me too, because we both cringed.

Yes, we all have to have the boring beginning. But trust me, it gets better.
