I drove up to the front gate of Underdale. I saw Jeremy and he opened the gate for me. I drove in and got out. Hunter sprinted up to me and hugged me.
"I told you not to do that again! Are you ok?" Hunter asked.
"I'm fine. Him not so much" I said looking in the back of the car.
"Jeremy! Help me get this guy into the cell!" I yelled.
Jeremy came down and helped me drag him to the cell. Everyone looked at us as we dragged him in. The man was very dirty and he smelt like he hasn't had a shower since the start of the apocalypse. We put him into the cell and locked the door.
"What are we going to do with him?" Jeremy asked.
"Interrogate him. I don't think he's apart of Heath's people. Maybe we can get a bit of information out of him" I said.
"How did it go?" Jeremy asked.
"Good. I directed the horde towards them" I said.
Jeremy nodded and pat me on my back. He walked off and I was alone with Hunter.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Hunter asked.
"I'm fine. I'm tired but I'm ok. Where's Megan?" I asked.
"She's at her class. Why do you ask?" Hunter asked.
"No reason. I think we might have a good chance in beating Heath. I'm just gonna talk to this guy quickly" I said.
"No do it tomorrow. Take a break" Hunter said.
I opened the cell door and walked in.
"You know me. I don't take breaks" I said closing the door.
I sat down and did a second search on him for any weapons.
"I know you're awake. Tell me who you are. Why did you take my vehicle. Also I heard someone talking behind me. Was that you?" I asked.
He didn't answer. He opened his eyes and looked into my eyes with anger.
"We aren't going to hurt you. Only if we have to. Tell me your name at least" I said.
He didn't answer.
"Ok. Fine if you don't want to cooperate you're just going to have to starve" I said walking out.
"Two Hundred and Nine" he said.
"Excuse me?" I asked confused.
"Two Hundred and Nine" he repeated.
"What the hell dose that mean?" I asked.
"You asked for my name. Two Hundred and Nine" He said again.
"Your name is Two Hundred and Nine. Why do you use numbers?" I asked.
"I don't talk" he said.
"Well you are right now. Answer the fucking question" I said.
"We use numbers as names because it is our new identification" he said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because we don't need names" he said.
"Well. Why did you take my car?" I asked.
"I was trying to meet with my people" he said.
"How many of you are there?" I asked.
He stayed quite.
"We will talk later. When you finally can talk" I said closing and locking the cell door.
As I walked away I heard him whispering to himself 'stay silent, stay silent, stay silent' over and over again. I saw Anastasia walk up to me. She was looking better.
"Hey. How are you?" I asked.
"I'm fine. I'm doing better. I just miss her so much" Anastasia said while a tear went down her cheek.
I quickly hugged her.
"I miss her to" I said.
"My entire group of people from the start has died. Except of course Hunter. Thank you for this" Anastasia said.
"It's good" I said.
"How's he going. Get any information out of him?" Anastasia asked.
"He was pretty quiet. He's a bit weird as well. They use numbers as names. Like barcodes or something. His name was apparently Two Hundred and Nine or something. That's all he basically told me" I said.
"I guess it will just take time for him to answer. Maybe we can start to torture him. If he doesn't answer" Anastasia said.
"No. Not if he doesn't deserve it. I don't feel comfortable doing that sort of thing. He might of been innocent. It will be like Thomas all over again. Except we're Thomas" I said.
"I'm sorry" Anastasia said.
"Don't be" I said putting my hand on her shoulder.
I walked away. I headed towards the front gate where Mount Barker and Adelaide Oval were packing up to leave.
"Thank you for helping again" I said.
"Its Fine. Anything for you guys" Arman said.
I saw Ana walk up to us.
"Thank you Ana for the extra people" I said.
"It's ok" Ana said.
I started to hear commotion coming from my right. I saw Eric one of Ana's people fighting with one of Arman's people Daniel. They were arguing about who's stuff is whose. I walked over and got in between them.
"Stop arguing. What's the problem here?" I asked as they both looked down at me.
"These watermelons are ours. You gave them to us" Eric said.
"No. We didn't hand out any watermelons. That's his. Leave it and let him go" I said.
Eric angrily threw them onto the ground. Two of them split open.
"What the hell man!?" Daniel said pushing Eric.
Eric fell back and tripped over. He laughed and slowly stood up.
"Come on guys calm down. Eric you will need to pay Daniel with some of your own food now. That's that. Hurry it up and stop fighting" I said slowly starting to walk away.
"You're right. I will" Eric said.
I heard a click come from behind me. I turned around and saw Eric aiming his gun at Daniel. I quickly went to grab my revolver but I was to late. Eric shot Daniel and he slowly fell to the ground. Everyone grabbed Eric and pushed him to the ground.
"Fucking hell" I said.
"Daniel! No! Daniel!" Arman said jogging over.
"He was my daughters boyfriend. You will pay for this!" Arman said standing up.
I quickly ran in the middle of Arman.
"Woah. Calm down. We will take care of this" I said.
"Ana! Send your people home. But you stay here. We need to have another word. As for Eric. Get him on his fucking knees" I said.
Everyone grabbed him and pushed him onto his knees.
"Arman. Would you like the honour?" I asked.
Arman took my revolver and aimed it at Eric's head.
"Screw you" Arman said.
*BANG*
