I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock beeping, having me realize it was 7:30 Am. I set it the night before because I wanted to make sure I had everything ready for the trip tomorrow when we leave to head to the airport. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. I leaned over to turn of my alarm clock when I saw a sticky note on the front of it. I sat up and took of the sticky note off as I turned off the alarm.

Come downstairs for a great surprise as soon as you wake up! But get dressed first and do all of your morning routines before you come down, I want you to be clean and tidy when you do! Love mom.

I smiled at the note and got up to get ready for whatever the surprise was.

I walked out of my room after I finished getting dressed and tided up. I strolled down the stairs and looked around for my mom when I got to the bottom. I walked past the grandfather clock in the hall to the living room and suddenly smelt something freshly cooked and delicious. I walked towards the kitchen and the smell became stronger.

"Mom!? Are you in the kitchen? I inquired as I walked towards the kitchen.

"Maybe, you have to come and see!" She answered back as I followed her voice to the kitchen. The smell of a breakfast bistro filled my noise. As I came around the corner I found my family as they all shouted:

"Surprise!" all at the same time! I smiled at all them and looked around the kitchen. On the breakfast bar there was pancakes, sausage, bacon, fresh blueberries, waffles, toast, eggs, biscuits, fresh jam and syrup.

"Aw, you know I love blueberries!" I said happily as I stared at the sparkling blue fresh jewels in a small bowl.

"Yup, it's for you and Jess! And Hanan if she gets here fast enough." my mom replied.

"Oh yeah, Jessica is leaving for collage tomorrow, and I'm leaving for the tour! Is this a good-bye breakfast?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's more of a good luck and see-you-later breakfast!"

"Okay! This all looks so good! Where's Jess?" I asked.

"She just went to the washroom." My brother Joseph replied.

"Oh okay, we should wait then." I said.

"Alright, that’s fine with me, but I spent all morning on those waffles and pancakes, it would be a shame to have them go cold." My mom said sounding a little hungry.
