Last Standing

Chapter 1

He was still twitching in the chair as the serum coursed through his veins, the lightning printed across his fringe pinned back so his eyes were finally visible as red glassed over them before fading to nothing.

"Makoto Kaminari, father of a Class 1-A UA student ranked 20th in more than enough exams. Former villain under Overhaul." His voice just drones dull as he read out the 19th report he had been given by the shadows.

Dabi really could not care any less about this. This was one of the final victims to that brat's plan to 'end this pitiful game' by poisoning it and genuinely he was talking to himself at this point. Twice had stopped paying attention a while ago and the rest of their members were lucky enough to be allowed to leave.

Lucky indeed, Dabi thought.

As he walked around the secured chair, he examined the soon to be decayed being infront of him.

Okay I'll give Tomura some praise. This stuff is revolutionary stupidly enough.

Dabi couldn't believe he even thought that, yet agreed with this but he did not take the sweet tick of time to ponder on it. He simply allowed the same words to leave his mouth as many times before.

"Take him home."

"Yeah, I have the stuff, Bakubro."

"YOU BETTER, DISCOUNT PIKACHU!!"

Kirishima was almost, almost, certain that if Kaminari's hearing didn't go out, then his phone speaker would. Bakugou's constant yelling into the phone of Bloody Mary was enough for all of Japan to hear (He hoped this was exaggeration but Kirishima doubted it).
Yet again... this was a normal interaction for the three of them. Kami getting scolded by Bakugou while Kiri just watched in a stunned yet unsurprised silence.

Yep. Definitely normal, Kirishima finally confirmed.

Usually, you see dear Reader, as Bakugou and Kirishima played video games on a century old console located at Bakugou's, Kami, Sero, and Mina would all go and assure that their was enough food and films at Kaminari's for a weekly squad movie session.

However, things were different this week. Usually, Mina and Sero (More Sero than Mina, none of them would lie), will be the ones to make sure nothing was forgotten. Although, Sero had explained that he needed to be at home until his dad returned today from a business trip. Mina was much or less the same tale as she was caring for her siblings as her mum was working.

Huh, everyone seems to have buisness trips, Was all that crossed Kirishima's mind at the time, well except Deku.

"Oh damn, my dad is home."
Kami's voice of what seemed like amusement was all it took to pull Kirishima out of the daze he trapped himself in.

"So?! Just tell him to fuck off or something, shitty hair." Great advice, Bakugou, truly.

Kirishima just kinda smiled at the comment and finally took his phone back from Bakugou to hear the tap of footsteps quietly emit from the other side as a voice of soft fear filled a room lacking its presence.
"Uh guys... something doesn't seem right. The lights are flickering. Our lights never flicker"

That was true. With a family full of electricity users, power cuts and the like were almost impossible unless someone's quirk freaked out. If it wasn't Kaminari, Bakugou and Kirishima couldn't think of who's it would be.
Though, that didn't stop the backhand reply that came from the blonde beside him.

"Oh man up. It's a fucking house. Your house. It won't kill you."

All they heard was the distortion of noises and what it seemed to be a bag hitting the floor. As a word began to form through the line, suddenly it cut off, leaving the two boys in a silence tense enough to cut.

"Kaminari? Uh... we lost connection. Do.. do you think he's okay, Bakugou?" All Kirishima received was a shrug as Bakugou got up with a slam.

"It's clearly a prank, Kirishima. Shitty hair loves them. Fuck, his dad probably isn't even home!! Don't worry as much about simple shit."

"Right.." Kiri's stomach just knotted as he forced the word out of his suddenly filled throat.

He prayed this was a joke and Kaminari would call laughing.

He prayed this wasn't something real.
