Hanging on by a thread
Watching the spool unravel before your eyes
It spins and spins
While you're helplessly holding on
Waiting for them to rescue you
What if they don't come?
What if they do?Slipping off the edge
Waiting for your grip to give way
It loosens and loosens
While you're powerless and weak
Hoping for them to catch you
What if they let you crash?
What if they don't?Surrounded completely by flames
Watching gasoline spill around you
It spreads and spreads
While you're aimlessly wandering
Hoping for them to put out the fire
What if they leave you to burn?
What if they don't?
