This is a happy ending to night light...
Maybe a warning: Slight panic attack.

She waited for what felt like forever when doctors came out of the door. A nurse came up to her.
"Ma'am im afraid Toni Topaz may not be alright, there's a chance she may die without a transfusion, do you know anyone with her blood type?"
Cheryl's eyes shot up from the ground to the nurses, sparkles and hope dancing in the depths of them.
"I have the same blood type! Quick we need to hurry!"
Cheryl was taken to a nearby room where a pint of her blood was taken.
As Cheryl sipped on her juice she was given, the nurse rushed out of the room ready to begin Toni's blood transfusion. Cheryl was feeling better but the darkness got the better of her. What if it's too late? What if she dies? What if? What if? What if?..
Cheryl couldn't lose Toni. She was the first real person she was friends with. All the others from her cheer team only befriending her because of her appearance or popularity. She was the only person she had left in the lonely world. Her brother Jason left her, her mother and father, never loving a "deviant" child like her and well Nana Rose, wasn't close to her, Nana rose was also clinging onto the last thread of life with her old age. Toni was her nightlight, she guided her throughout the dark times when no one else could, Toni saved her, but what if Cheryl couldn't do the same?...
She slowly gathered herself strength and stood up, to where she begin pacing outside Toni's room. Beads of sweat dripped from her forehead, her heartbeat fastened the pace till it felt as if it was about to explode out of her chest, her breathing increased rapidly, barely taking in any oxygen. She sat herself down on a bench outside the room, hands on her ears, eyes firmly shut.
"1,2,3,4,5, in...1234567 out...."
Think of Toni, think of Jason and nana Rose, think of all the fun memories and happy times with Toni... like the time you were at the carnival and she got cotton candy in her hair, everything's gonna be ok, it's all gonna be fine..
"Miss?"
Cheryl was snapped out of her thoughts.
"Toni Topaz will be okay thanks to you, you are free to visit her, however she will need some rest, be careful not to wake her."
And that's what Cheryl did.
She sat in the chair for hours, frequently repeating her episode from earlier.
Until her beloved eyes opened.
"Cheryl...."
"Toni.?!! Oh God i'm so happy to see you! Don't ever scare me like that again! I was so fricking worried, I love you so much Don't ever leave me!!" She wrapped her arms around her waist and held her tight. She pulled away as Toni's delicate hands grabbed the ginger's tear stained face.
"I am so so so sorry, i should've listened to you, i love you so so much" She pressed their foreheads together, eyes locking, the smitten couple each admiring one another.
Cheryl pulled her in for a short, soft kiss.
"I love you too my little nightlight"
