What most people thought was that Cheryl was a loveless person, only ever showing affection for one night stands or tools. However that wasnt true. Cheryl had, had her fair number of crushes, but never had she ever fallen this hard for one girl.
At first she thought Toni was way too agressive and fierce, being part of the serpents and all, but slowly she came round to her and saw all the small, beautiful things about her. How soft and smooth her voice was when comforting people. How her colourful hair blew in the wind. Just how beautiful and angelic she was all together. Around her, Cheryl couldn't even stutter a word out, worrying of embarrassment. Cheryl didn't think it was a big crush, i mean she had, had her stuttering episodes with most of her crushes, but when she started becoming ill thats when something was wrong. She sat in class, staring longingly at the girl of her dreams, supposedly taking notes, when she started choking. She ran to the bathroom, as blood spluttered out of her mouth, the coughing becoming more horrendous and violent by each second. Fragments of pink coated in red flew out of her mouth, until a whole flower was coughed up. It wasn't the most hygienic thing, but Cheryl picked the fragile, decaying plant, inspecting it, this wasn't the first time she had coughed cherry blossoms up, it had been happening all night, all day yesterday, it had been happening for nearly a week now. Cheryl had told no one, why would she have fake people pity over her? Why would she show weaknesses, she was the queen bee? Although, Cheryl knew the side affects, she knew what would happen if not treated, or what would happen if treated. Her tyrannical parents certainly didn't have enough money to be wasting it on their abberant, nightmare child. Even if they did, Cheryl wouldn't be prepared to take the surgery, nor would she be prepared for death. Toni and her were friends, incredibly close might i add, and Toni was suspecting something, she didn't know what but she was.
Once again Cheryl ran out of class in a coughing fit, into the bathroom, only with this time Toni following her.
She coughed up blood, petals and flowers, it was never ending.
"Cheryl?" Toni's voice echoed, she walked inside to be met with a horrifying site. "Cheryl!!??"
The sink was stained red with blood, sticky, crimson droplets running down the side,falling to the floor. Fragments of flowers and petals scattered on the floor like a idiosyncratic, grotesque pile of confetti. Tears ran from Cheryl's eyes.
"Why didn't you tell me?..." Toni asked, her voice soft and quiet, almost whispering.
"Who is it?..."
Cheryl could hardly push a word out, she scrunched her eyes, more tears threatening to fall. "It's you Toni! ok??! Its you! I'm in love with you!" She screamed and rested her head in her arms, "it's you...."
Toni was shocked, she grabbed Cheryl's face and pulled her in for a kiss. It was loving and passionate, soft and sweet. Sparks of electricity ran through their bodies, they knew they were destined to be with one another and no one could change that.
After the kiss Toni had asked Cheryl to be her girlfriend, the hanahaki disease was cured and surprisingly, some how in the town of Riverdale the two lived happily ever after. Well it wasn't rainbows and cotton candy all the time, but if they were with one another, they would get through the rainy days.
