Chapter 8

           

~2030~

[The cabin in the woods is seen, then a light bulb is seen flickering. Lanys and Lexa are seen trying to lift Peter from the floor, but they can't. Lexa looks at the lights]

Lexa: It's happening again.

Lanys: Ignore it. Just keep pulling on Mister.

Lexa: I'm trying, for a bearded man, he's kind of heavy.

[Lanys and Lexa start moving Peter and pull them to a side of a wall. They lift him off a little and lie him on the wall]

Lanys: He's in that trance again.

[Suddenly you hear a loud knock from the main door of the cabin]

Lexa: Not again.

Lanys: Just ignore it. Let's sit right next to Mister.

[Lanys sits next to Peter and she looks at Lexa]

Lanys: Just ignore it.

[The knock on the door is harder and Lexa trembles a little]

Lexa: (scared) how did it know?

Lanys: I don't know. Just sit, sis.

[Lexa slowly sits next to her sister, Lanys]

Lexa: When will our nightmares end?

Lanys: Soon, he'll have the answers.

[Lanys touches Peter's shoulder. Suddenly, Lanys hand starts to shake and she starts to tremble]

Lanys: Oh, no.

[Lexa trembles too. Lexa hugs her sister and you can hear a loud knock on the door again, but this time you can hear a scratching from the door]

Lanys: Is that scratching?

Lexa: Probably.

[A shadow is seen coming from under the main door of the cabin and you can hear a crackled voice]

???: Lanyssss!!! Lexxaaaa!!! It's meee again!!!!! Open the doooor!!!!

Lexa: (sobbing) Why is it so evil?

???: I know you can hear me! It's me...Lyssaaa!!! Open the door!!!

Lanys: (whispering) do you remember what Mister said?

Lexa: (whispering) about not calling him that.

Lanys: (whispering) no. The weird words he used. You remember them?

Lexa: (whispering) I don't. I only kind of remember something of Luke.

Lanys: (whispering) yeah, I don't think that was it.

Lexa: (whispering) What are...

[The crackled voice interrupts]

???: I can hear you, even if you whisper. Open the door!!!

[Lanys and Lexa look at each other still trembling]

???: (screaming) STOP LOOKING AT EACH OTHER AND OPEN THE DOOR!!!

[Lexa stands up and she looks at her sister]

Lexa: This has to stop.

[Lanys stands up]

Lanys: But what can we do?

Lexa: I don't know.

???: I know, you should...(raises the tone of voice) ...OPEN THE DOOR!!!

[Lexa takes a deep breath and yells back]

Lexa: (yells) Nooooo!!!

???: Oh, big sis! You found your guts, don't worry, you'll lose it soon. You think he can save you, but you're wrong. You think that loser can save you, he couldn't even save his family. What makes you think he has any answers?

Lanys: He will. He knows how to stop it all.

???: (laughing) hahaha! Good one, sis. But you're wrong too. I'm going to make a deal with you two, you have one hour to hand over that piece of meat you call Mister and I'll leave both of you alone. If you don't comply...you don't want to know what I'll do next. One hour....

[The coldness is gone and the lights stop flickering. Lanys and Lexa look at each other and both look at Peter]

Lanys: Oh my God, Mister if you can hear us, we really need you.

[Peter is seen faintly breathing and he whispers]

Peter: Becky...
